Another one of my favorites.....

Show me that smile again. (Show me that smile)

Don't waste another minute on your cryin'.

We're nowhere near the end (nowhere near)

The best is ready to begin.

Oooohhh. As long as we got each other

We got the world spinnin right in our hands.

Baby you and me, we gotta be

The luckiest dreamers who never quit dreamin'.

As long as we keep on givin'

we can take anything that comes our way

Baby, rain or shine, all the time

We got each other Sharin' the laughter and love.

I had to look this up online. Didn't see that show too much, but the theme sounded familiar.

Good Morning Ladies,

I want to say congrats to all that had something positive happen. God will see you through to all those that need some encouragement.

I just found out today that my Cr1 was finally complete yesterday which incidentally was my daughters fouth month of blessing me with her presence.

Happy friday

Philly do those cacique bras come with the clear straps at all, cause i have a dress that is sleeveless and made like a tube top and no strapless bra is gonna hold it so i figure regular bra with clear straps for added support...LOL

I got a black one there that had adjustable clear straps.

DaDa you are crazy, you had me cracking up at work when I was reading this. I cant believe you went through all that trouble to be cute in the morning lol. I guess we do some crazy things in the beginning and then after a while we are like whatever.

Whenever I go to JA I usually have the works, Brand new clothes, shoes, jewelry, purses, perfume, Hair weave, Mani, pedi waxing, full body shave the whole nine yards he never seen me in the same outfit twice. In November the economy was kicking my a$$. I painted my nails and toenails myself and did my own hair(which ended in a ponytail) the only thing i did was wax my eyebrows for $8. One night we were getting ready to go out and my SO was like "times ruff een" I was like hell yea when you get here and start working and giving me money for me to pamper myself and I dont do it then you can complain. Ooh I was pissed off he tried to come with me with that "you are beautiful no matter what" story but It was too late I was already pissed.

Wow. If you were to look at my albums from Jamaica on FB, you'll see me sporting the same clothes over & over again. And you will rarely catch me with a manicure or pedicure or salon-done hair. Fortunately the men in my life have not been ones to care about those things.

I do shave & get the eyebrows waxed before each trip, though. I can't do too much, cause Steven needs to know from the get-go that I'm cheap.

That story about waking up to beautify yourself reminded me of A Different World. Whitley did that for a while after she & Dwayne got married, but it didn't last long.

O.k. Ells with you being mad at SO that makes me think. Is there anyone else who starts getting vexed when their SO doesn't answer the phone??Me and my SO go at is all the time its like I can talk to him 50 times a day but if I call just call once and he doesnt answer he better watch out cuz here comes my text messages  . He always calls me back like why when you cant get me you go nuts  ?? I be like I dunno and I don't. There has never been a long period of time that has gone by that I haven't talked to him well unless I'm mad and not answering my phone on purpose but when were cool he's always reachable. Oh but you know what's the kicker if he cant get me he does the same thing. Why wasn't you answering your phone.. What were you doing... But yet when I do the same thing back its a problem...

I was just wondering if anyone else is like that?

LOL Glad to read this. We're like this a bit, too. On Thursday, my phone was off while I was flying to Jamaica for a surprise visit. Steven called me at home, work, cell all day with no answer. He even called my cousin (who lives in a diff city). Poor baby was so worried. Then when I finally called him (after I'd made it to Negril) his worry turned to anger that I wouldn't tell him where I was and why I'd been MIA all day. Anyway, that's a story for tomorrow.

OK everyone....

MY HUBBY IS HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations! You must be on cloud 9!

Hi Ladies, I have not log on in a while. Lots of new people! I have a quick question. I am looking for recommendations for calling card back to Jamaica. Apparently the Sprint Int'l CC rates has doubled  . Most of my spouse family have the int'l card on their phones. So we don't make a lot of calls to Jamaica. However we still need find other calling card options when he does call back home.

Jenice

I just noticed the same thing.

I also use RingYard sometimes. Rebtel is good, too, if you need to call using a local number. Plus, rebtel doesn't do that 1 minute rounding that ringyard does. If you talk on 1 minute 5 seconds on Rebtel, you only get charged for 1 minute, 5 seconds. Whereas on ringyard, you'd get charged for 2 minutes. But with Rebtel, you need to register the phone number at their site to get a local #. So if I'm just calling someone for a one-time thing, I go with Ringyard, since I don't need to know a special number.

I like Sus! Waiting to get tat #4

We saw this girl at Alfreds with a huge huge huge tattoo of [bouquet of] flowers on her lower back, Jamaican flag on her ankle, and about 3 other tattoos. Steven expressed that he'd love it if I get one (or more). That's not really me, but I told him we might could work out a deal where if I get one, he won't get anymore.

Well, I caught up with VJ... leaving me tomorrow to catch up with the tv shows I missed while gone: American Idol, Hell's Kitchen, Celebrity Apprentice.

LMAO @ DADA and Philly,

I too in the last two trips of wearing my own hair, have gotten on the plane looking beat, with a scarf on, sweats, winter coat etc, and then when we get off the plane, run in the bathroom put on flip flops comb down the hair, put on a little face and voila.

Far as the food, this will be my first trip carrying food, as we are staying in a villa for a week and im hoping that i dont have to bust my kids in there heads, so i am taking grits, peanut butter and jelly, pasta, chips, donuts, pancake mix, that bacon in the box, im a bit scared of that, but hey my kids dont know the difference, about 60 lbs of rice ( ok i exaggerate, maybe 5 pounds) kool aid packets, parmalot milk, popcorn, so all we have to do is buy meats and seasonings, im hoping i have enough surplus ####### to keep my kids contained.

This chic at my church is gonna cornrow me up, gotta be a budget diva, but i will be waxing, arching, and gluing up the rest of the stuff next saturday...JA soon come...YAY!

When going a couple of weeks ago we had problems bringing in peanut butter. There is a ban on certain ones and so they took my friend aside and took forever to clear her while they went through the long list of which brands were ok....just a fyi

OK yall, I am at working graveyard and on the westcoast so on here by myself....but I know yall early risers (sus) will be on shortly so check out my newest delima. I am missing My Hubby like crazy and am debating moving to JA for the next year. We have an option on a rental home that is located in a perfect spot on the lane of my good friend (the photographer) and her man....They are trying to link up work for us both (Mike would have to move)... There are so many more details to the story but just wondering if anyone has ever considered doing so....or know of anyone who has and how that affects the process aside from the obvious... I have to make the decision this week so my head is spinning with so many options/possibilities/problems/experiences....

Morning all! I am getting ready to head to a training class all day, so I won't be online

Jamerican - I had thought about it - But I know that right now, I can't do it - the things that scare me about living there year round would be

Hurricanes

Medical care

Corruption

Eye for an Eye justice

Not being able to afford to fly home at the drop of a dime if I needed to

Living here, I know that we could fly back to JA in a second if we were needed - we are both close with our families, and discussed this ALOT - and decided that the best option was for us to be in the US.

You also have to factor in your kids, your house here, if at some point you decided to move to the US, you would still need the income requirement to petition for Michael -

If you do decide to stay I recommend saving as much as you can now. Staying there long term is not cheap. I stayed with my husband years ago (he was working full time, and since I didn't have a work permit I could not work) but I cashed out my savings and we managed. Times definitely got hard but we worked through them.

Think about how long you want to stay and consider the area you'll be staying in. You'll only be able to do 6 months at a time (legally) unless you get married. Will you be bringing your children? If you are then check out the schools and this will be another expense (uniforms/books/shoes/etc). I don't regret doing it, because he and I really got to know one another while I was there. If you have any questions feel free to pm me also. Good luck in your decision.

Good morning ladies,

I am sluggish as hell, having took a tylenol pm last night so i could sleep soundly, anyway im tripping on the peanut butter thang, i bought the Jif individual little containers, there are like 6 little containers ]individually sealed, like just enough for a kid to stick some apples or celery or whatever in, or probably enough to make one sandwich with.. if this is gonna be an issue i will leave it, does anyone else know about the peanut butter requirements?

Morning Ladies, Happy Monday,

Well I am soooooo tired I was up reading Stella!

Jawi I am at the part where Ian is on the plane Dutty Bwoy dat! I love the dichotomy of the TWINS! It's dayum near impossible for me to read at work today I am non stop busy but I will be rushing home because I have to know if Mya is pregnant, and by which Twin :o If Toya is positive and if her Hubby to be is too, and if he was already( hmmmm)? What will Ian do when he gets to Toya and what will happen with Delmar, Mya, Melodee and Travis...............I'm so hooked. Jawi you have a fabulous talent I read a lot of books from Jamaican and West Indian authors and this story is on par if not better than the top sellers in the Caribbean. I am truly enjoying the read. I hope your goal is to publish your works in the future because you definitely have a readership and I can see you on OPRAH. :D So I guess you know which book I am voting for you to finish LOL
