Dada, i have a chin length wrapped bob and i wore my hair down in January it held up ok, but i know he got tired of seeing hair scarfs and rollers , but hell we past the always cute stage...LOL, then i wore my hair again end of Feb,first of March and with all the rain, we had, i looked a hot mess after the first day...so now i am gonna have to be a diva on a budget.... damn car!!!!

Ha you mek mi think of something crazy when you say we past the cute stage. Ok so I met my sweetie in July 09 so I went back to see him in Oct 07. Man oh man was I crazy at the time... So get this on the plane ride down there I was dressed in sweatpants and a shirt and had no make up on or earrings and I wore my scarf cuz my hair was wrapped. Well when I landed in JA I ran to the bathroom and did a 360 transformation. I put on this halter top, tight jeans, cute sandals, took the scarf off put on some makeup and earrings and proceeded to customs you know to get checked into the country. You should have seen the faces of some of the people that was on my flight they were like #######!!! I was cracking up so I came out the airport to meet my sweetie looking fresh but I was nervous cause this was only my second time seeing him so I was worried I wouldn’t even know which one was him but arriving 10:00 p.m. at night to JA helped me pick the right one. So I stayed at his yaad. (That is another long story for another day it took everything in him to convince me to do that one) but anyway why when we went to bed I would just lay down and when I thought he was fast asleep then I would run into his bathroom and wrap my hair. About 6:30/7:00 am I would run into the bathroom brush my teeth, wash my face and unwrap my hair put a little on my lips as if I just happen to sleep beautiful all night long.. Whoo when I think back I really LMAO!!!! I did this the whole time I was there So when I went back in Jan I was like the heck with all that we should be comfortable with one another by now (well I still do come out the airport cute) so now the scarf came out and no more jumping up in morning and he would look at me like I lost my mind. I know he was like what happened to my natural beauty queen. He would pick up my scarf and look like what the heck is this???

DaDa you are crazy, you had me cracking up at work when I was reading this. I cant believe you went through all that trouble to be cute in the morning lol. I guess we do some crazy things in the beginning and then after a while we are like whatever.

Whenever I go to JA I usually have the works, Brand new clothes, shoes, jewelry,purses,perfume, Hair weave, Mani, pedi waxing, full body shave the whole nine yards he never seen me in the same outfit twice. In November the economy was kicking my a$$. I painted my nails and toenails myself and did my own hair(which ended in a ponytail) the only thing i did was wax my eyebrows for $8. One night we were getting ready to go out and my SO was like "times ruff een" I was like hell yea when you get here and start working and giving me money for me to pamper myself and I dont do it then you can complain. Ooh I was pissed off he tried to come with me with that "you are beautiful no matter what" story but It was too late I was already pissed.

Isnt it crazy what we will do to look good. I agree with you my SO hasnt seen the same outfit twice either. And I hate that I feel like I go to work wearing the same darn thing but cathch me in JA and I'm fly as can be. If I was to take a coworker to JA with me I know they would be like dangggggg she doesnt have that many clothes at work. We can tell what day of the week it is by what' she's wearing!!! See and we wonder why they think we're rich. If only they knew who we had to beg borrow and steal from to pull off that look..lol

I'm getting all caught up now, I am watching the elimination of G's this was a cute episode. All I know is Teddy better not get voted off!!!!

The final episode of Drag Race wassooooo goooood I loved it awweeeeee I am so happy for my girl BeBe. Nina was good too but even she knew that crown was BeBe's. I'm going to see if I can get Ru's new CD, I'll let you know and I'll send you the tracks if you are interested

LMAO @ DADA and Philly,

I too in the last two trips of wearing my own hair, have gotten on the plane looking beat, with a scarf on, sweats, winter coat etc, and then when we get off the plane, run in the bathroom put on flip flops comb down the hair, put on a little face and voila.

Far as the food, this will be my first trip carrying food, as we are staying in a villa for a week and im hoping that i dont have to bust my kids in there heads, so i am taking grits, peanut butter and jelly, pasta, chips, donuts, pancake mix, that bacon in the box, im a bit scared of that, but hey my kids dont know the difference, about 60 lbs of rice ( ok i exaggerate, maybe 5 pounds) kool aid packets, parmalot milk, popcorn, so all we have to do is buy meats and seasonings, im hoping i have enough surplus ####### to keep my kids contained.

This chic at my church is gonna cornrow me up, gotta be a budget diva, but i will be waxing, arching, and gluing up the rest of the stuff next saturday...JA soon come...YAY!

Rebecca is so fake and she was a hot mess at the final challenge didn't deserve to be in the final 3 IMO. Now for G's that was a good episode but I don't feel Big Man should have been eliminated he was a good candidate but he was hated on none of the 3 that were called down should have been there but so it go......

Girl you aint lying, I be so busted going to the bank lol I have got to do better when he gets here because if he see how I dress to work now, he will tell me about myself.

Thats why I had to let him know being a Diva costs money it is not cheap. I aint gonna lie the ghetto came out of me a few times when I had to choose between Hair weave for $200.00 or pushing that 10 day grace period for my car payment. lol "me naw shame fi say it" B)

Lovesponge, trust me i have thought for a hot minute about borrowing some money so i can be beyonce, but we are planning on climbing the falls, swimming, snorkeling the whole 9, and so in the long run i guess the braids will be better, but dont thank for a minute im not gonna have a bottle of lash glue and some tweezers on stand by so when one floats or falls off, we can touch that up real quick...LMAO

For the most part i have them done professionally weekly, but if im on a budget, i go every two weeks and then on the off week, i have my tweezers and brow razor on standby and i just clean them up myself, i usually get the foam stuff you shave your legs with and put it in the areas that are scraggly and then use the brow razor, and voila good as new!!
