In retro to my first email. I was in no way bashing ELL last night and she knows this. We were PM'ing while I made this post talking about walmart. So as I have said if I have offended anyone, Especially if by striking that nerve" that was not my intention. My response was just "Me flinging Stones" at anyone who "Flings Stones" at me.

No one can tell "My Story" better than me. So my repsonse was to clear up any assumptions about "MY MONTHLY VISITS" to spend time with my Sweetie.

Muah,

I am Blowing Kisses and Huming Jill Scotts "Hate on Me Hater" while I type this LMAO

No but seriously yall, I am not trying to hurt any body I wish you all well. No relationship is perfect and I am in no way impling that mine is. But I will give my God his Glory. I have been Blessed!

Take Care

I usually keep my two cents to my self, but I feel like adding today...

Some of you have mention that your SO makes X amount; When I started dating my SO I only made x amount and since I was an exempt employee I wasn't qualified for OT nor did I have the time for a second job since I didn’t know when I was going to work late. So when we started dating I was living on a budget a very tight budget because living in NYC wasn't cheap. But my SO was someone I was interested in a wanted to get to know, so instead of going out with my girlfriends every week I would only go out with them once or twice a month and my SO started working 1hour earlier and 1hour later. I cut every extra features off my phone, got rid of my internet. I never pretend to him like I was rich and he never did either. He took on any extra job he could get.

I said this to say that a relationship especially LDR takes a lot of sacrificing and if you are the only one making that sacrifice then maybe you guys are not on the same page.

Exactly. AMEN!!!

But you werent letting your lights get cut off while he was eating steak either!

All I am saying is we all make sacrifices. I have a family in the states but I share my time equally. I feel my family and my man are improtant enough that it is worth it.

Those words ring true for any situation....whether LDR or someone right next door.

Morning/Afternoon Yardies!

Well, I see my topic has generated some activity on the thread again so I guess that's good!:blush:

Thank you ladies for all of your advice and input....I appreciate it and I'm considering all of it. We'll be having a serious talk very soon. I'm trying to wait for this spell o' PMS to be over so I don't approach it too emotionally but rather rationally. We'll need to discuss 'equal contributions' and what has been brought up here. Wise words from everyone and although sometimes parts of it feels uncomfortable to read, I'm grateful for it because it keeps my vision clear.

Sooo, on that note.....

Hope everyone is having a happy humpday so far! What is the next topic of discussion here??

I have a friend who is Jamaican, but lives here - She was paying $75 a month towards her mother's electric bill in JA - her mother let everyone in the neighborhood hook up to her current - Even a store! So, they shut it off, because the $75 a month wasn't making a dent in the bill - I will never forget my friend telling me that her mother was sitting in the dark with no lights - she was continuing to pay the $75 a month, and her mother would have electricity again when either the $75 paid off the back bill, or her mother got the neighborhood to kick in and pay it.

The story always stuck in my mind - because she was giving what she could to her loved ones, but not letting them take advantage and setting the boundaries.
