Sus-you decided to get married and do the CR1?

Either CR1 or K3- He wants his family to be at the wedding, and reality is the only way to do that is marry there - Plus, I have a hard time picturing myself getting married here - it makes me cry, cause my Dad isn't here to walk me down the aisle - Picturing getting married on the beach, I have no issues. We want to get married in Ochi, since that's where we met. We have a few spots in mind - something really small, personal, and simple.

Exactly Sus, one of my closest friends made the comment and i posted it the other day, but i will repost just cause it pisses me off, and i quote " ever since you came back from JA this last trip you just seem to have decided to up and get married, all of a sudden ( um no, we have been going back and forth on this, me getting cold feet, him getting cold feet, etc, giving relationship more time, etc) i was like whatever, so then she says well everyone cant up and run back and forth to JA every three months and plus im taking my daughter to Disney for the 4th of july weekend and i would like to be there, dont you think you should make it convenient for people to be present to support you???"

im like " she has lost her mind" so because your going to disney land on a week that doesnt jibe with my plans you want me to put off a WEDDING.... then i showed her the color scheme i liked which was on Sungold and commented on how pretty the wedding was to me, it was very simple but i thought it was nice, she was like um i dont like it.. im like oh sorry, how about i just let you plan this ok...( gritting teeth) and then she was supposed to go with me on Saturday to look at wedding thingies, and first she was like my daughter is sick i said ok, no prob she says she has a temp of 104 i said well take her to the clinic and get the baby some antibiotics cause she said i think its strep, she was like im gonna just wait and let her ride it out till monday and see if she is feeling better, now i dont know about yall but if one of my kids was SICK and suffering why would i let him suffer over the weekend and then i said well what about next saturday and she was like you know thats my birthday i thought we were gonna do something, i said like we did for mine, she said you up and ran off to JA again i said yeah but i came back didnt i, so anyway sorry to ramble, i dont know if im sensing some haterade or if im out of touch with how wedding ####### is done!!!

No, me too but I get the irish from the other side, my father's family, they have a black and green dinner, cultural thing every year here in boston with the irish cultural whomever, and st. patty's day is a holiday in his island.

anyhoo everything is ok with me and mr jengs, he's talking about quitting one of his jobs.

k-4 update spoke to a nice lady down at the embassy, who was willing to give us an end of april date but at this point I wanted an april date, she also said we could add another child to the case as long as we sent in the birth certificate and by april 9th all the may dates will have been assigned.

Honey, that was pretty much how I felt - I know most of my friends will not travel to JA for the wedding - but these two, definitely will travel there - to be that selfish that you can't wait to find out my plans pissed me off -

Sounds so very passive aggressive to me! I can't deal with that kinda stuff! You know, if she really cares and is able to get over herself, then hopefully she will come around. Like you already pointed out, and I'm sure she knows, this is not a decision that has been made off the cuff. And if it means so much to you, then as your friend, truly she should be able to come around. Good luck, and if she doesn't get on board--find people who will!

I got my dress today, and it fits good, except for a tiny bit of back meat i need to work off, but nothing major, its not to long or anything im so excited...LOL.. now i just need to find me a huge BILLIE HOLIDAY esque flower to tuck behind my ear in my hair, some sharp earrings and im straight....

Ok so i have been trying to keep busy today with getting caught up at work. I emailed my best best friend in the whole world to let her know about me and Dwayne getting married and she just totally knocked the wind out of my sails, it feels like a kick in the teeth. SHe is saying what the bible has said about being equally yoked and the man being responsible for taking care of his household, she has seen me running back and forth to JA every three months spending my money and is he helping to pay for these trips, is he in a position to help take care of me and the boys, etc... she says she is at the computer crying because she has been holding on to long to this and has been wanting to tell me, and that i need to consult ephesians and talk to god and really listen. I swear, me and her have known each other since grade school and i just want some freaking support from my so called friends, HELL now im crying, and trying to hold it together at work...SHYT...i know my friends dont want to see me hurt and the such but DYAM it seems like every where i turn people are against me from the word go....

SOrry i just needed to vent, guess i will close my door to my office so i can get myself together.. she said she doesnt know about coming to JA but she will be there in spirit and that she has financial issues and two prior engagements back to back in july. You guys have no idea how it feels to feel so PHOCKING abandoned by your closest friends because of who you choose to fall in love with.( or maybe you do) matter of fact i know you do... i dont even know what to say to her, i dont want to feel like i have to defend my decision to her or anyone but dyam she has had my back since day one, she was always the one i ran to when we were kids and i needed a shoulder and now as an adult, #######?? can no one credit me for having phocking common sense because i met a man in another country, and love him..

Oh Mz Honey, I am so sorry to hear this I know what you are going through cause that sounds like my Mamma's exact words. As far as you talking to God, I am sure you have soul searched and had personal conversations with the creator regarding your decision. The key word is "your" decision. It's impossible for people on the outside looking in to truly understand the complexity of the situation. Although they care about you and think that they are making you "see" the light they aren't being supportive and a true friend will support you no matter what 100%.

Yeah yeah yeah it would be nice to be equally yoked but unfortunately Love doesn't come wrapped in the perfect package, but that doesn't make the Love you share less than!

This is the exact reason my azz got married on the mountain top, only my Hubby our Pastor and an Auntie who lived nearby cause I was tired of hearing all the chatter, so trust me I know what you are feeling. It's your life Mz. Honey and people will always talk but only you know what is best for you
