Morning ladies! I'm at work 2day--despite my overwhelming desire to stay home & celebrate my nuevo-Irish heritage!  Anybody got any St. Patty's day plans?

Congratulations Jakeswife on being preggo! Good luck on a safe pregnancy! I'm nervous about typing on this board now--seems like people are getting pregnant through the keys!:blink:

Mrs P, its your turn for a baby....LOL

Ok, so question for you , when you planned your wedding how difficult was it, and how many farriners did you bring with you to JA???

Disclaimer: I CANNOT be pregnant until AFTER I do this marathon in October!! I'm risking it just reading on this board! I think I brought about 15-20 people. It was great! They loved it from the champagne flight on AJ going down until the time that they left!

mi wah tori....

LOL - Okay, I will start it off - But can't give it all till Jamerican gets back! This story will not be like the last one, though - it was pretty calm -

This trip was very mellow - When I landed at the airport, breezed through customs, walked out - No DJ! Called him = the car died, a wire went on the car, he was almost there, and arrived in about 10 min - Thankfully, I had told him my flight landed at 10 am, not 11:30!

We drove over to Ochi, and stopped at Scotchies to grab lunch on the way. We got to SJG and checked in - the hotel and the grounds were beautiful, I had booked a cabana room - which I liked the location and being able to walk right out to the beach - but it was a hotel room, nothing that fancy - Not even a sitting area - Just a kingsized bed, little table with one chair, dresser, and bathroom.

Sun. we were mellow - lazed around, early to bed. Monday same thing - We had breakfast, then DJ had to do some stuff in town - I lazed on the beach - After dinner that night, we went and had some drinks, then to bed again. Tues we spent the morning on the beach, then went out riding around for a while, visiting some people. DJ was hung over and wanted soup - so we stopped at a little cookshop. I waited in the car while he went in to order - all of a sudden, bottles started flying, two guys were fighting over a woman - DJ came out and we left, without his soup - He had just gotten the cup and was about to add pepper when the fight broke out, so his cup had glass in it! We drove around a bit more, then went back and he got his soup - the fight had died down by then.

Weds again was a beach day - Then Jamerican and her man arrived. She called me early afternoon = DJ was starting to fall asleep, her man was watching football - so the two of us linked up, and walked around town - Made lots of fans along the way, lol - All the men stopped her, calling her Rasta - asking her if she had "Seen Bob Marley" yet - Which I clarified for her! I took her to the cookshop by Sandcastles to get some food to bring back to the room -

We hooked up later that night, went to Margaritaville. The club was good, we all had fun - It turns out that DJ and Jamerican's man know each other, they played football together growing up. We both had asked them, but they knew each other by different names then what we said. The night was great - We went to leave, and came around the corner heading to the road - Again, bottles started flying! We ducked into a guard shack to get out of the way - Someone fired shots up in the air, a man got licked with a machete - It was really out of control, especially since there were several tourists around - No police presence at all - the fight was done, crowd dispersed, and we were in the car before we saw a cop car arrive.

Thursday was another mellow day - We had intended to go to Amnesia, but we were all tired, and ended up having quiet nights in. We had an early morning planned for Friday.

At which point, I will be waiting for Jamerican to come back to continue!!

And as far as it being difficult, it really wasn't that difficult at all. I was able to preview the available wedding packages they had available on line. Once I decided I wanted to get married at the RIU, I just e-mailed the wedding coordinator on site, and she sent me more detailed information. When I got there, it was basically just meeting with the coordinator, letting her know what my details were, and paying for the expenses. Everything was quick and easy. And she was cool.

sounds like a plan... i honestly dont know what to do... my friend is getting on my nerves...i want a few people present on my day but im starting to think the stress of dealing with them may not be worth it...LOL

That is exactly my issue, Honey - Two of my friends travel frequently to JA - I told one of them what we were planning to do, and asked if she wanted to come, and maybe the other one - Her response was that they were planning to go back to Negril that month, so maybe if it worked out and they could figure out transportation they would come to Ochi, but she wasn't sure - HELLO - YOUR BEST FRIEND IS GETTING MARRIED, AND YOU CAN'T WAIT TILL I GIVE YOU DEFINITE DATES?
