Morning all!

Jawi, that dress is absolutely beautiful - where did you get it? I guess I have to start dress shopping, huh?

Kimmy, DNA is a hard question - I had been through it with an ex from here = long story, but he had a daughter with someone, right when we got together she claimed she was pregnant and it was his, thinking he would come back - when he was still w/ me, she went after him for support, claiming he never paid (he gave her way over the amount, just in cash) = He got a test on the baby, it wasn't his - so he tested his older daughter, she wasn't his either. So, when I met DJ and heard he had a son, I guess I am jaded bc that was sorta my first thought, based on what the history was w/ DJ and the mom = Then I saw him, and no doubt in my mind, his son is the spitting image.

I can understand the rationale behind it - However, it takes a man to be a father, anyone can be a donor = I feel that if a man has taken full responsibility for a child, and wants to file to bring them here and continue to be the father, then the embassy should not interfere in that or stop it.

Jawi, if I had gotten married in Jamaica that was the style dress I would have brought. I love it because it's simple, elegant and just down right beautiful.

Hey Jawi, I am loving the dress and shoes. Both look like something you can re-wear (after dyeing?). I like your taste.

Thanks SG...I didn't think about re-wear possibilities...I saw my dress in lavendar and it was still pretty...so I guess I could. I like simple but elegant. I am now trying to decide if I will go ahead with a birdcage veil or just do a low bun with a pretty hair pin...not sure yet.

Jawi, you are going to be gorgeous in both. Love them.

How do you feel the issue of DNA comes about in ur relationships? Do u feel b/c the man has some doubt or b/c U have some doubt?

I have seen this come up alot..nothing directly at anyone..just a thought

It never crossed my mind that my husband's other girls were his, he mentioned to me he really didn't play a part in 1 of their lives until she was about 2 b/c he didn't think she was his...and i left it at that..he was careless enough to even have that doubt..HIS PROBLEM..until he files for them and DNA gets brought up..I have no questions...

Well, if he was careless, yeah, that is on him. I'm more of a proof kind of gal so until I see it in writing, I wouldn't worry too much myself.

One of my bosses just came in and said let's all leave at 11:15 and go to the parade (and drink guiness after). I hope he wasn't kidding. Sounds like a plan. It's going to be in the upper 70's here today and beautiful!
