After my trip to the post office, I'm going to have a happy hour in my house when I get home too!

OMG what happened am curious???

Oh Lord! It's a long story kinda....but let me try. To get into the federal building where the stupid post office is IN THE BASEMENT, you have to go through the screening. I come into the lobby and there's some crazy old white dude with an expired ID talking to the trigger-happy federal security guard and the guard says his ID is unacceptable. So then the guy starts yelling and ranting about 'do you know who I am???' and I'm thinking, 'some crazy guy???' And this immediately sets the skittish guard off who proceeds to threaten to have the guy arrested. There's now a line of people waiting to show their IDs and get going.

There are a few people in front of me, one of which is an elderly black lady. Mind you all, I have a 15 MINUTE BREAK to mail my mister's Grandma's funeral DVD & programs & pictures to his Mom in St. Maarten cause she couldn't attend the funeral but paid for most of it and is anxious to see the DVD. Anyway, another lady guard came and started checking IDs so we started moving again. I wasn't paying attention and only saw the man guard look at me and say come up. I had my ID out and ready to go. I didn't realize the elderly woman was still next to me cause there was still a lot of commotion with the crazy dude off to the side. She puts her arm in front of me and says "I'M NEXT!' and I said, 'sure, no problem, sorry'....then people are lining up to put their items in the plastic bin to go through the X-ray and this lady is taking her sweet time taking off every accessory on her body, watch, bracelets, belt, earrings, etc. etc. ETC. I've been at this place many times and if someone has a wallet to put down while I'm fiddling with stuff, I say GO RIGHT AHEAD! Well, I had one quick thing to place in a bin while she's still fiddling around and she blocks me....then she starts cussing me out and telling me to go stand over there and I tell her NO, I'll stand right here and I'm going to get a bin. She continues on and on and on and refuses to hear the other side....she's right and I'm obviously totally wrong.

As all this is happening, the lady behind me (an aging white dufus hippie) also waiting for a bin as this old lady is cussing me out, tells me I'M VIOLATING THE WOMAN'S CIVIL RIGHTS!:blink::blink::blink: Are you serious??? I'm violating her civil rights??? So I asked the dufus hippie, do you think this is a racist thing or something? And she says, 'yes, you're racist!'....that pisses me off so I reach for my photo album of pics of my mister and his family and ask her, "OH, I'M RACIST AM I?" as I start flipping through the pictures and showing them to her. When I reached for the album and leaned towards her, she flinched like I was going to hit her and says, 'you're in my space' and again I say, "WHAT? I'm just here like you waiting for a bin!" JEEEEEEZUS KEEERIST!!!

FINALLY, the old lady goes through the metal detector and it goes off. The security guard has her stand to the side and I'm entering right behind and trying to pass by the old lady because the detector DID NOT go off for me AND NOW THE OLD LADY ELBOWS ME!! I looked at the security guard woman and said, "do you see this lady???"....then the stupid security broad makes us both go back through and now this OLD @#$%& BAT is trying to push me and stuff. I said, "keep touching me and I'll have you charged with assault!" Then she says something about it's a good thing we're here or she'd do more than that to me.....OH PULEEZ! She says, "it must be a day for the crazies to come out" and I answered, "yeah, because you decided to come out today!" and walked off with my adrenalin pumping. Got to the post office down in the basement and had to wait for the SLOWEST MAIL CLERK IN THE ENTIRE WORLD!!! My 15 minute break turned into 45 minutes!

I'm never going there again!

....when it hurts to look back and you're scared to look ahead LOOK beside you and I'll be there.....

There comes a point in your life when you realize who matters, who never did, who won't anymore... and who always will.

So, don't worry about people from your past, there's a reason why they didn't make it to your future.

I wonder if it's a case where he's not aware his staff is trying to pocket a little extra money on the side?! Either way, I think Island SHOULD report that with the embassy. When they give you an appointment and you show up for it, you should be able to be attended to when they say they will! ACCOUNTABILITY! These businesses/agencies need ACCOUNTABILITY!! *Okay, off my soapbox now....*

He didn't have an appointment - he called Wednesday and said I'm the one who has been in here 4 times in the last 2 weeks - do you have any time this week. She told him that he could come in Thursday or Friday. So when he showed up they (2 office girls) wanted $1,500 each to squeeze him in. He said she got angry at him when he said no - I'm not paying $11k for a medical and said well I guess you don't really want it that bad. I had told him just let it be and wait for the appointment at Andrews after the hassel he had, but he really wanted to just get it done.

You know, I try to be respectful of everyone and especially the elderly but YOU SHOULD'VE HEARD what she was saying to me! Calling me a bi#ch and everything else just cause I was in a hurry. Me getting by her would not have taken any more of her time but she certainly did her best to hold me and everyone else up. It was definitely on purpose after a while. I'm of the school of thought that if I'm having a confrontation with someone, I'd rather just let them go on there merry way as quickly as possible so we can both be done with it. Apparently, she was getting her jollies off of the whole thing because she was just prolonging the time we had to be in eachother's presence. I SHOULD'VE TOLD HER, "look lady, it's us YOUNG PEOPLE who are still working and paying your DAMN SOCIAL SECURITY, so why don't you let me get going and get back to work so you can get your FRIGGIN CHECK!:angry::angry:

I'm never going there again!
