That's funny.

The good thing is, we met these men while we were overweight, so they already love us like that. Much better than if we met them at a smaller size, then gained a ton of weight. That doesn't seem to go over well with many men.

i guess that is what roger trying to keep from happening LOL.. naw its not so much weight.. he is a health nut.. he would like me to take care of my body better. he is really into vitamins and he can tell u what everything is good for.. i can be eating raisins.. he be like "u know thats good for mens prostate" OKAY..thanks for that bit of info..

You never lied Air Jamaica's prices are out of control right now, I just booked my flight last night one way to Kingston, they wanted 405.00 out of Philly they must be mad!!! I had to book with American who had the cheapest fare @ 290.00 which is still ridiculous but I refuse to travel 12 hours and have 3 connections to save a buck to American it is. I don't know why these flights are so high out of Philly, I checked all of the flight search engines and they all had the same prices I just which AJ was a better deal because I have so many frequent flier miles that I am almost there for my free flight and I don't want to pay for my luggage!!!!! Is anyone else having the experience with high fares?

I wonder if fares are so high right now because it is spring break season and even if the travel is not for right now, they're doing their best to try and make some money off of people buying during this time.

Ain't that the truth?! I'm glad my honey likes me just as I am but I know we'd both be pleased if I can take off some weight.

Good for you ladies who are having success with the weight loss and changing eating habits. Keep it up!

You know, I have a co-worker in another department who is my 'friend' but I have a love/hate relationship with her. I'm totally not exaggerating when I say that she's the kind of person who is happy when she looks better than everyone around her and she tries to keep folks around her fat by constantly pushing food on them. She's always bringing in Krispy Kreme donuts and I told her to stop telling me about it because I don't want to get diabetes since both of my parents are borderline. Yet, she still manages to accidentally mention it on occasion. I ask her if she wants me dead because pushing junk on me will give me diabetes. Today I decided I wasn't going to participate in yet ANOTHER potluck their department has and as I'm sitting here at my desk eating the lunch I brought, she comes in and tells me that whenever I'm ready for a plate to just let her know. I told her I'll pass and then she proceeds to tell me they have cake, all kinds and homemade too. I told her I'd pass on that too. Wouldn't a good friend respect your wishes and desire to get healthier and leave you alone with the food business???

Hey everyone.

I can't believe that I still don't have a trip to Jamaica scheduled in the horizon. It is depressing me now. I miss A so much and my freakin neck is the dyam problem.

I wanted to try the 4-day diet but I get really depressed when I feel like I am denying myself anything. It is so weird. I need to loose some weight before my wedding date too. *sigh*

Same here. Not about the weight...just being healthy. I was a big girl when we met but now I have some health issues so he's just concerned.

Okay, I've found two potential dresses I'd wear to get married in. I'm really leaning towards the pink one (but in white of course) but the style of the red one (also in white) is nice too. The only thing about the pink one is that I wish it was just a little shorter....like tea length. Each dress is only about $35 - 40 too depending on the size (probably a little more for the plus sizes). I know I won't look anything like the slender models but the pink one is more my style. What do you ladies think?

I like the pink one (in white of course). You can really jazz it up with some gold bangles and hoop earrings. If thats your style. You should wear your hair up not stiff just kinda of the "swept away" look.

HEy ladies in regards to the book by dr Ian, that is what i did and i lost 20 pounds, it was hard but i did it over the course of 2 1/2 months, i did the FAT SMASH... they say not to check your weight because there is the 9 day induction phase and Shem is right the first 3 or 4 days is hard, but once you detox your system im telling you the weight falls off and it doesnt come back, it is kind of like once you adopt those eating styles, you dont want to mess up.. it is the only and i do mean ONLY diet that has pulled weight off of me other than stress. I have probably gained back 5 pounds, cause whem im PMSing i tend to eat everything but seriously it works.. my arms got smaller, my midsection got smaller, thighs the whole 9... i will probably do it, to get into my wedding dress

That is great you changed to a healthy lifestyle, I joined 50millionpounds.com last year and lost 60 lbs but i gained 18 lbs of it back since then when I stopped jogging everyday and overdosing on banana chips to due to stress LOL. I am getting back on the ball now since the weather is breaking and I can jog daily and go back to eating fish and veggies and NO CARBS! I want to lose an additional 50 lbs this time around. One of my friends asked who was going to do my hair & makeup when I get married and I looked at her like she was crazy and said, "I am!" Then she looked at me like I was crazy. I don't think she realizes that when I want to, I do a pretty good job of that stuff myself. LOL! She mostly sees me looking plain and like I don't care too much.

I know people need support but sometimes I feel like it's something I want to quietly do on my own. Then when you start to lose enough weight where people start commenting, it drives me crazy. People always have to make such a production out of it and for some reason, it really annoys me. Does anyone else get like that?

I like both dresses for different reasons, I like the Pink dress as its more the BOHO look and carefree and Shanette is correct with the right accessories such as bangles and gypsy style earrings, and your hair up or down this would be perfect for that beach wedding int he sand.

I also like the red dress in white for you , as you mentioned that you wanted a tea length dress previously. This dress is more of a conventional and sassy look. I would like to see a pic of it in white so I can see how the adornments look in that color. Is it sequins or beads and is it lined? That could be a definite factor in the heat but the lining can always be removed? Also the right accessories and wear your hair in an up sweep, could set this look off nice as well.

Yea you can look really nice without going overboard. People have their different opinons on make-up but I think it looks nice when its applied right, but don't overdue it especially if you normally don't wear any. Try going to the mall and having them doing it. Its normally free but I think MAC charges $50 for Saturday appts.
