Medical done, what is that supplement?

Hi,

I've got one question here: I did my medical (I-6whatever) which includes all what they ask for and they copied my international vaccination certificate since I had all necessary shots, my TB was negative what else, and CPR and HIV came back negative as well. What I am wondering now: people talk about a vaccination supplement which is requested later somehow. Do I need that since I got that sealed enevelope? Do I have again to spend money on another sheet of paper which again states that I am perfectly immunized????

And I'm sorry for asking so much, but does anyone know when I have to get my second varicella shot? I just did it in November on a routine check back home, and I heard from a colleague that it takes two shots to be actually immune (I remember my doc back home said so too, but I so forgot how many months later it must be done)......

Thanks guys!

Maja

Maja,

The sealed envelope HAS TO REMAIN SEALED. You send that with your AOS paperwork. I am not sure what the varicella shot is. I know the Heptisus A is a 2 shot process (inititial and 6 months later the last).

Try googling it.

Hi

My understanding is if you are up to date on all vaccines you do not need the supplement form. They use this if a person can not provide evidence or is not fully immunized. I had a supplement form with mine as I couldn't show evidence of a second MMR. The supplement form has a section called the blanket waiver whcih allows the doctor to check age not approriate if the vaccine is not appropriate for age( ie hep B is only needed for those 19 and younger.. others can use the blanket waiver) There is a chart the doctor has to determine what vaccines are to be given for your age. For my age required vaccines were 2MMR, tetanus, proof of varicella.

Hi guys,

Thanks for your quick replies!!!

My envelope is sealed, so I dont know what's in there, the doc just sent me my results via email. So I think I wont need another supplement since I guess she attached the vaccination info to my envelope... Gosh, at least we're saving some money here! ;)

I'm over 19, but still I've got lots of shots, Hepatitis A and B, meningitis, yearly flu, and so on... My doctor always made sure I am protected :)

I googeled the varicella info and found out, the second shot has to be at least 2 months after the first one (if you dont get the second, protection is not granted, actually super low!!!), so I'll get my second one asap. So maybe for all you guys who got the first on here in the US: get the second one, I think it's worth the money, esp. when you want to get pregnant ;)

Are you K-1 visa holder? It is slightly different K-1 and others...

Vaccination Suppement is the one which written down more details about vaccination date and immune, such as DT/DTP, Td, MMR, and HepatitisB..and it was given with I-693.So it supposes to be in the envelope.

DO NOT open, though

Since K-1 holder did medical exam in their own country, they did not need full medical exam and they only need proof of vaccination(if they did not finish it). I am not sure small detail... I think some one may help this...

So if you are not K-1, civil surgent included it in to the envelope.

Second varicella shot.... Ask doctor!! :D

In personally, I do not like vaccination..because I saw too many conplications....if you have immune, you do not need vaccination, but some doctors want to do it because of money issue...

Good luck!!
