our noa2 was may11 and i recived a letter from the NVC that they recivved our approved I-129f and forwarded it to HCMC but I never recived a NOA2 in the mail like the NOA1 does it matter??????????

Yes, it matters. When you submit the I-485 to adjust status, you are expected to submit a copy of the NOA2.

Better contact USCIS and ask them to send another.

I never received our NOA2 either. I contacted customer service four times and each time was told they will resend it. Never arrived.

For AOS, I sent a copy of the NOA1, a copy of the e-mail I received saying that the petition had been approved, and a note explaining that we could not send them something that we did not have. We will see what happens. It has been three months without an RFE, keeping our fingers crossed!!!

I guess my next question is is it is not needed for her interview in HCMC??? correct that is what i am really concerened about

I don't about HCMC directly - but at London the document I showed most often was the appointment letter - it had the ref # on it that the Embassy uses, and came in packet 4.

But you *will* need it for AOS - so see if you can get another that you can keep at home (in US) - I think if you leave it and need another at AOS time it costs an extortionate amount of $

I also never received a NOA2 and we didn't need it at the interview. We just showed the interview letter.

I am sure someone that had gone thru HCMC will be able to answer better.

I don't recall any case where the NOA2 was required at the visa interview stage. It is a requirement for AOS however, although some people may have got around it in other ways.
