We received an e-mail on May 8 telling us that our I-485 application had been transferred to the California Service Center for processing. Today I received 3 identical e-mails that said:

Application Type: I485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status

Current Status:

On June 15, 2006, your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status was received here for processing. We will mail you a decision as soon as processing is complete. You can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done. Follow the the link below for current processing dates.

I don't understand what this means. It says "was received here for processing". Where is "here"? The e-mail was from "CRIS". Does this mean it was received at the CSC? Has anyone else received this same e-mail after their case was transferred to CSC?

Thanks so much for any info.

Peter

Why did it take so long for them to receive your case?? Does it really take that long (May 8-June 15th) to transfer it to CSC??!?? :o

Now I am confused...

My online status says

Your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status was received on May 1, 2006. We will mail you a decision as soon as processing is complete. You can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done. Follow the the link below for current processing dates.

Does that mean it is transffered to CSC? I never got any email. previous online status was something different (like it takes 120 to 180 days blah blah) The staus was updated on May 23rd (NOA is April 25rd but checks cached on May 3rd) and I believe that is the time the status was changed.

Now, How I can find out for sure that it is transffered? And does the transfer speed things up? Am I going to get approved without interview? How long it takes...

just curious

Appreciate any response.

Shailesh
