Approx time to Interview?

I've checked all the FAQs and guides and couldn't find an exact (or at least approximate) answer on this one, so I thought I'd ask.

Fiancee and I were approved with our original forms, and I received my package with checklist back in mid-November. After some lost mail, hectic holidays and the local police services taking a month to get my police reports, I was able to get my package mailed off to the Consulate in Montreal on January 21st.

My big question is, approximately how long will it take to hear back from the consulate about when my interview date is? I don't care how long I have to wait for the interview, but knowing that will at least give me a basic time frame to when I can move (pending I get approved >_<).

It is taking about 3-4 months for montreal to do the interviews after they receive the P3...but you can call the Department of State with your MTL case number, and they will actually know your interview date before you get the letter from Montreal. I think I received my letter about a month before my interview.

Here are the instructions for DoS:

So, call the number below, PRESS 1, then 0 to get to a live person. They will ask for your MTL Case # (from your Packet 3). Tell them you are wondering about the status of our case, and if there is any word on an interview date yet.

Not a problem . I was calling once a week for about 2 months, so don't get frustrated if you don't get the date the first few times you call.
