Question about medical exam

Hi everyone.

We submitted a visa application for my wife via DCF in London. Her medical exam is next week at Knightsbridge Doctor.

We're a bit concerned though because she a seizure a few years ago and another one the following year for which she was hospitalized overnight. These were both considered isolated events for which MRIs were taken but with no results. She was never prescribed any medication and has not had a fit in over 2 years.

Does anyone have experience going to the medical in such a situation? Could this be a cause for denial of her visa?

The medical questionnaire asks this question specifically and, if so, to describe in more detail.

I have my medical next week too. I think the best thing to do is just tell the truth with what happened and even better, would be to include a doctor's note saying that nothing has happened since, no medicine was perscribed and that it shouldn't be of any concern. I take medication for panic attacks (which aren't as frequent now) and from the feedback I got on VJ, if any medical problem (that doesn't hinder your life now) is backed up with a doctor's note, you should be fine.

Hopefully someone with more knowledge on this subject can reply.

It won't be a cause for denial.

Denials are typically for transmittable diseases such as TB, HIV/AIDS and STD's. You can also be denied if you have certain mental illnesses, including alcoholism.

Please don't worry, just tell the truth and everything will be fine.

They may ask her a few questions about it probably. I'm no expert on the medical nor am I a doctor, but if she's only had a couple of seizures in her lifetime that did not concern her GPs, and test results didn't turn up anything unusual, I wouldn't be overly concerned about whether or not it would be grounds for denial. IMO I don't see how something like seizures would be.
