I am kinda feeling jealous of K1 applicants who filed to VSC.... I got married first to speed up immigration process and look what happens. Lets hope that MSC starts sending out RFE soon....

I got married because I love him...

No process will get in our way! So we have to wait a few months longer. No big deal. It's not going to change anything except maybe my address and his flight date.

However, if I keep tracking approved I-130's with no responses about I-129F, I'm thinking of legal guidance. Can't stand around and see everyone ripped off on false hope.

thats right. I still dont understand why K3 are being affected or is effected by the imbra. They are already married. If it effects k3, then imbra should(not that i want it to) also do the same for I-130 visas.

That makes sense, hafiz30. Only engaged couples would fall under IMBRA's intent to warn a woman about a potentially abusive future husband. But since we K3s use the same form as engaged couples, we affected. How? I'm not certain. Hopefully, we'll get a simple RFE, answer a few questions and be on our way. But I don't see any K3s getting RFEs yet...

There's always the bizarre possibility that K3s get nothing, since as you pointed out, it's too late to warn anyone anyway. In another thread, someone said they were told by an official on the phone that K3s would not be affected. Misinformation? Wishful thinking? Or simply that future K3s will have to answer a question about brokers?

Had this to say about K3.

NVC was able to run a data base list of all petitions

meeting these criteria. We have notified those

posts that have received these cases and given them the

case numbers and further instructions. All cases on this

list, even those with firm appointments or in 221(g)

status, are to be delayed while the petition is returned

for further information. No cases in issued status will

be recalled. If posts have any question about the correct

priority date of the K1 case, they should use the priority

date (receipt date) written or stamped on the original

petition. DHS has not requested return of K3 or K4 I-129F

petitions.

Why the K3's are taking longer, or seemingly froze also...maybe they changed their minds?

Note that DHS cannot recall a petition from DoS if it has not yet approved the petition and sent it over to DoS.

Did the NBC approve any I-129f petitions from 6 March or later? I suspect that their backlog was big enough that they did not. My sense is that the VSC (and its customers) was a victim of the VSCs prompt processing - they were into the March 6 and later petitions before they realized that IMBRA implementation date had arrived.

please post if any k3 applicant after march 5, 2006 got touched, approved or got IMBRA RFE.. looks like many k1 folks have been touched recently and they might be getting imbra RFE soon so ours must be in line too.....

So back to the subject...any K3s got any RFEs ? especially from CSC, those guys are just so far from Washington they don't know what's going on:)

Impatient?.....I am beyond that....It's one thing to know it's beeing processed, another-to realize your application is on someone's shelf collecting dust. So any news , would be great !

Eva, like you, many are waiting to see if the other shoe falls, and K3s get an RFE. A few philosophers around here have pointed out the logical inconsistencies of sending or not sending it to K3s and CR-1s. It's still a crapshoot.

Since we're in this wacky world of waiting, and government doesn't always act logically, I'll bet USCIS is literal about their mandate to "capture" those who pay brokers for mail order brides. Which is to say, I believe we won't be getting anything. After all, we're well beyond being brides. The wait has turned us into hags!

But it's early days and they could have a surprise for us, so hang in there and distract yourself until we know for sure. How about reading an 800-page summer novel?

It has been a little over 30 days since i filed the I129Fand since May when they recieved it ans cahsed the check I got one touch on 6/1.

My I130 got quite a few touched ( as yo can see from my siggy), but no news by smail mail or email.

I did find it quite strange that last Friday 6/16 when I called to check on the I129F on the misinfomation line there was no record of my K3 ( I129F) on file.

I do not wish to share any information about this dead end journey.........I have reached my final destination on this train, and it is time for me to get off.

THIS TOO SHALL PASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"If marriage means you fell in love, does divorce mean you climbed out?"

"You never really know a man until you have divorced him."-Zsa Zsa Gabor

"When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house. And when she is departed out of his house, she may go and be another man's wife." Deuteronomy 24:1-2

Yup nothing today too....The first K1 IMBRA RFE was sent out by VSC on June 16. So we are at least 7 days behind....God ! you would think that if you get married you would have better chances to meet your spouse since you have already committed to the relationship ! Unbelievable .....

If you believe the government owes you something because you filed, or because you're married, or because you pay taxes, you're setting yourself up for disappointed. Better to wait in line patiently, have no expectations, and bring a good book to read.
