We are preparing the documents for AOS, but I got laid off from work last Feb 6. I am the principal sponsor for I-864 (afidavit of Support), and we don't have any co-sponsor. Since I got laid off, I wont be able to submit a letter from my employer as attachment to AOS. My ITR 2008 is ok- above poverty line. If we still file the AOS now, will it have chances to be approved? Im looking for work now, but the timeline is running out for AOS.

Need your advice. Thanks.

You have no friends or family that would be willing to fill in an I-864 to help you out? If you find a job between now and when you have your interview, you can revoke the co-sponsor forms at the interview, and re-submitt your own.

I wouldn't delay AOS because you're out of a job though. Too many stories of people lately being pulled over to check for status and then they're held in custody or deported if they've waited too long on their AOS from K1.
