I had a father who grew up in the 60's who had epilepsy - he was said in the community to have been demon possessed.. of course he wasn't..

I think you have to take a step back first and ask if you believe there are demons out there..

If you don't believe in demons you can't believe in possession..

I don't believe there are demons on every street corner awaiting to pop into any body they can get into (thinking Frank Peretti stuff here), but have I personally encountered what I would testify is demonic? I'd have to say yep..

Possession? I've never seen that... but having seen the former, I'd have to say that it's plausible, but in no way "common" IMO, and it's not an autistic child, or a person with mental issues.. let me be QUITE clear about that.

All I know, is that I am a very good nice person, and if I do something naughty, it wasn't me, but the devil took over my body and did it. LOL.

I would love to see a ghost, would answer a lot of questions, but if did, wouldn't be sure if I was cracking up or not. It's more fun to go down to my basement when some very eerie music is playing. Wife and daughter really get engrossed in a horror film, think they are funny if not stupid. Ha, kind of remind them about a complete camera crew, directors, and those guys that are assistants to the stars are all there. But that takes the fun out of it. Narrow vision is a key trick to making a movie scary along with flash shots, loud sounds and of course, that very eerie music.

The Changeling is one of my favorite movies, mainly because I love that mansion, as is The Shining, love that isolated hotel.

Ha, help a friend move out of a three story 37 mansion in Lake Forest, said, anything left I could have, got the keys and was told to turn off the lights. Basement in that place was endless, was late at night, after midnight, and was alone. Friend was telling me about the number of people that died in that house. Went up to the third floor, checked everything out, turn off all the lights and as I rounded the staircase saw this big black thing coming toward me. Startled me for an instant until I realized it was me in front of a wall size mirror. Ah, didn't find that much I wanted to take, all old junk, house was torn down to make room for a subdivision.

In one closet did find a half a dozen once live stuff dogs, ha, what a weird collection, they wouldn't do anything so left them. Main thought was having a home with 22 bathrooms to clean, now that would be my worse nightmare.

I wonder if these things only happen around those who believe these things are possible? I have never seen anything ever that can't be explained by natural phenomena.

As far as ghost sightings go - I've always found the Stone Tape theory quite interesting.
