I have never watched anything that has given a credible explanation for 'ghostly' phenomena - well at least one that has its feet in the paranormal :) However, specifically, no, I haven't seen Ghost Hunters.

I don't like to watch it because then I start thinking about that scene in Sixth Sense when the boy is taking a pee in the middle of the night and some ghostly apparition glides by behind him...and this comes to mind when I get up in the middle of the night too.

While watching a film, I can of course get involved in the plot, but after it has finished, I don't have any flash back terrors. I am scared of real things, not shadows :)

but I am not sure if the show is real...

I don't think they're staging any of it, if that's what you mean by real. Those guys started out as skeptics, but there have been a few investigations that even scared the begezus out of them.

yeah of course..

I don't think they're staging any of it, if that's what you mean by real. Those guys started out as skeptics, but there have been a few investigations that even scared the begezus out of them.

but you don't know for sure...

well, I know Jason and Grant have said the reason they started TAPS was because they had their own personal experiences

That movie freaked me out.The guy who I was watching the show with says that spirits do not manifest that way.

July 24,2007-NOA1 was received
April 21,2008-K-1 visa denied.
June 3,2008-waiver filed at US Consalate in Panama
The interview went well,they told him it will take another 6 months for them to adjudicate the waiver
March 3,2009-US Consulate claims they have no record of our December visit,nor Manuel's interview
March 27,2009-Manuel returned to the consulate for another interrogation(because they forgot about December's interview),and they were really rude !
April 3,2009-US Counsalate asks for more court documents that no longer exist !
June 1,2009-Manuel and I go back to the US consalate AGAIN to give them a letter from the court in Colon along with documents I already gave them last year.I was surprised to see they had two thick files for his case !


June 15,2010-They called Manuel in to take his fingerprints again,still no decision on his case!
June 22,2010-WAIVER APPROVED at 5:00pm
July 19,2010-VISA IN MANUELITO'S HAND at 3:15pm!
July 25,2010-Manuelito arrives at 9:35pm at Logan Intn'l Airport,Boston,MA
August 5,2010-FINALLY MARRIED!!!!!!!!!!!!
August 23,2010-Filed for AOS at the International Institute of RI $1400!
December 23,2010-Work authorization received.
January 12,2011-RFE

there used to be a year or so ago a show that they called taps that was the name of the show i saw it as i said a couple of times but i was not that impressed with it didnt seem to be much action on it :whistle:

I think 'demonic possesion' is a carry over from earlier times in history. In times when medical science was non-existant or in it's infancy, people tried to find explinations for things that they couldn't understand. Medical conditions, psychological conditions, or just bad behavior could all be possible reasons a person might be thought posessed in the past.

An autistic child who rocks back and forth and mumbles to himself could easily be identified as being posessed by something unearthly. This continues even today, and there have been a number of autistic children killed in recent years in the sometimes violent rituals to exorcise the demons.

In short, without going into too much detail about my spiritual beliefs... I don't think there is such thing as demonic posession. I think it is a way of trying to find an explination for behavioral and psychological problems in communities that may not have knowledge or experience with such things.
