as i told you they asked many guys in Egypt about that .they asked one of them are you married Islamic? the guy said yes we are .the CO said well i just want to know if you are honest or not .and it wont affect your visa at all ( he was K1) and they gave him the visa and he is in USA now .

I agree, I think a lot of people on here aren't sure what an islamic marriage is. Keep in mind that many embassies understand local customs so hopefully it will be ok. I would have your fiance e-mail back and explain that he misunderstood what you two went through. Good luck!

You were interviwed but were not given a visa? The e-mails were probably not put in your file since there is no way to verfy that he was the one who wrote them. What written notice were you given at the consulate? Did she mean that she needs more evidence that you two are really engaged?

yes i was interviwed and not get visa they tell me breing proof of income whene i tell my faincee he become mad like lose mind that happing 8 months before and rite to counsula email ask why not give visa and tell her that we already marry in islamic way me scare they was see these lettre and whene go take document they use like proof for denie my visa and call me lier whene i am not whene was just miss undrestane from him

The first thing I would say is " you're honest and guilible at the same time " Guilible means by arabic Niya " " 3andek neya mliiiha ya khooo " and I want to tell you BE HAPPY DON'T WORRY, I mean at this situation you feel like it's big mistake just for safety, but in reality it doesn't hurts you, WHY ? Because you did the right thing towards ALLAH and towards Human, I mean the embassy officers knew already that muslims can't have any kind of sexual relation with any women without having authorisation from ALLAH, there is no proof that says you did marry her by proxy, at the same time the embassy can't find anything against you because you didn't marry her at the town Hall " La Maire " so you don't have anything to worry about. When you go to the interview if they ask you about the marriage tell them, that was authorisation by ALLAH so i can sleep with her at the same bed, and the same house. Even my familly can't let her be in touch with me if I don't authorised her to me as wife in Islam, so this is the religious way to authorised woman for bed, by the american way called dating, so the relation does matter by traditional such as familly, they can't let you sleep with her, because she is not your wife, and it consider big sin " el zina " at islam .

Keep working on your english looks like your doing good, practice your english for any other interviews you may have and ask for a translator if needed at Embassy. By the way I always called my fiance my wife by emails because we were hopeful we would be husband and wife soon. Thanks to ALLAH we are married now.

Shes is afraid because they didn't give her the visa and she thinks the problem is because her fiance said they were married, but if she explained already that it was only a ceremony and is not documented she shouldn't worry. What they need is proof of income, right? so that's the only reason, they need your fiance's taxes and that's it, no big deal!.

People try to be more understanding with VJ members who can't express themselves too good in english, remember this country is made out of immigrats!, we or our ancestors all came from different places, the only legals here are the Native American Indians!

If you were interviewed and they asked for proof of income, then this is all you need to worry about at this point. Tell your fiance to send you the proof of his income they need as they told you to do.

I think you are referring to an Orfi, correct? My fiance and I have one and he is from Egypt. We also filed for a K-1 and when asked at his interview if he has an Orfi, he will say, yes. I would say most who apply for a K-1 visa in Egypt, has an Orfi, as you can't live together without one. This is NOT a legal registered marriage.. therefore you are NOT married in the eyes of the U.S. Government.

The Embassy always knows the customs of the country they serve and Orfi Marriages are known by those who interview as an unregistered, non legal marriage. It's nothing more than a piece of paper saying you two are married, to satisfy the police.. if you were stopped while out together and the manager where you rent your apartment.

Unless you went and had your Orfi registered, you are not to worry about the email. You didn't go to your government and register it, correct? If so, i'm not sure about this as i'm only familar with unregistered Orfi's. I'm also speaking for Egypt only, as I don't know anything about the country you're going through, but "Hot Guy" i'm sure understands and can give you good advice.

I wouldnt worry about it. If you guys are questioned about it, just be honest..tell them it wasnt a registered marriage and your fiance' mis-spoke. Tell them what you told us, that you had an orfi marriage.
