But does the site not say that the receipt number begins with EAC, WAC, LIN, or SRC.

No, mine also starts with MSC. I was able to view my husband's information the day he did biometrics.

All cases that get sent to the National Benefits Center (Missouri) have MSC receipt numbers.

You probably don't want to hear this but some people report never being able to check their status online or it suddenly becoming available after they've been approved. CRIS is an imperfect system that reports information about a different imperfect system and as such, you can't expect it to work all the time.

That said, make sure you're entering your case number in this format: MSC1234567890

That is: MSC followed by the ten digits shown on your NOA1. No spaces, dashes or anything else.

If you still have no luck, phone the customer service line (800-375-5283) and see if you can get your case status through the automated system on the telephone line. The status messages are exactly the same as the online version. When it asks for your case number, enter the letters as they are shown on the telephone keypad, e.g. for MSC enter 672 followed by the rest of your receipt number.

If no luck, I still think you'll have more luck if you wait a week or so and try again. I seem to remember my AOS and EAD took a week or so to be searchable online too.
