1) probably not

2) yes, anytime from day 1 to day 76 after entry he is eligible to apply for SSN

YMMV

Most people report the EAD stamp being given at JFK, so if he's coming in through LAX, he probably won't get it. But don't worry, it will probably be useless so nothing to worry about.

My wife got the stamp at JFK, and unless you got a family member/friend ready to hire your partner for work for 90 days or less, then as mentioned by the other poster, this stamp is useleless, so nothing to worry about.

Thanks Alot all

What documents needed for applying social security card?

i think the only things i took was non-usc passport with valid i-94, marriage certificate (for name change) and the application form.

read this link for more information.

I heard it takes about 1-2 weeks before uscis loads up your non-citizen fiance's information in their system, so when you go at social security office they will ask you to comeback for few days because they can't verify her information on their system yet.

I don't know if this true better ask someone with their own experience on applying SSN.
