Hi, I got divorced for almost 2 years now, and I filed I-751 removal of conditions last year around May, and I still don't have a response from USCIS regarding the removal of conditions.

I got married early this year, and I already changed my name with the SSA office into my husband's last name and now, I want to change my last name in USCIS. How do I do that? Do I have to wait to get my last name change with USCIS before getting a new Driver License also?

Please help.

USCIS and local DMV (Driver's License) are not interconnected - so you can change your DL name.

"If you're a non-U.S. citizen, first change your name on your Immigration and Naturalization Service document. Then, go to a driver license office with the original or certified copy of the marriage certificate, divorce certificate, or court order indicating the name change. Remember to bring your current license and proof of legal presence. Corrected licenses cost $10." -this is the text found in Florida DMV, that's why I was wondering if I am able to change my DL at all.

I also would want to change my passport, and I would need a new stamp on it, while waiting for my Green card approval, will it become an issue if my passport will have a different name than what's with USCIS?

Please advise.
