Calling DOS???

Hello once again,

I just have a quiery about calling the DOS on the 202 6631225 number. My fiance is in Chicago and im wondering how much this number will cost per minute? I ask this because the last time we called we was on hold for over 30 minutes.

I had my packet 3 delivered on the 11th and it was signed for on the 12th at the embassy. I have read that if you continue to call they can tell you a interview date and a date when packet 4 is being sent. is this information correct???

I used to use a calling card when contacting DOS by phone. You can always e mail the embassy to inquire about P4 and your interview date.

I would think it'd be more prudent to call the Embassy in London since they are the ones making the interview schedule.

All depends on long distance provider, can be anywhere from 2 cents per to what ever the phone co charges.

Can call using Skype at 2 cents per in the USA or UK.

call @ 8:45-9:00 AM EST .. i usually expereince 1-3 min wait time @ tht hour

PS embasys schedules interview dates for K-1 but DOS always have that info as well!

im convinced they are closed for the day, ha.....since it is a government holiday....u wud think that they would have a automated response saying to call the next day, we arent open....but hey....that would just be a nice thing to do for the callers

DOS tel no. is 202-663-1225. Try the following options in this seq (1x4x2x3x0), it will save you some time to listen to the automated options. You will get there in secs. Need your case number for them to look your case up. They will ask for the applicant (not petitioner) name before they release any info.
