I finished college in july of 2008. I got a job in September 2008 with an annual income of $36,000. So far i have made about $14,000. My W2 declares that i made 12,000 for 2008 because i got hired in september. Because of my w2 and my current income to date are below the poverty guideline will it cause any problems at my fiances interview.

You may want to fill in profile date with visa filed for and country: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...rCP&CODE=01

For the most part most embassies and consulates will accept an employer letter stating (Salary, job description, permanence, etc.) and recent pay stubs going back 6 months.

They are concerned with income Past (IRS Return), Present, (Pay stubs), and future (Employer letter).

You should be fine if current and future income evidence indicates sufficient income to support.

Dittos to Karen and Otto. On the I-134 state your current annual income ($36,000) and support it with a letter from your employer and check stubs...you WIN!!!!!!!!!
