My fiancee and I are applying for a visa, K1 Visa. Say she gets the visa in the mail and she can now legal move here. So is there a time limit from when she gets it that she has to be in the states by? or can she stay in Canada for like a month or two before moving here.

The visa is usually good for 6 months, so you can take a month or two.

November 25, 2008 - Engaged

November 25, 2009 - Married

November 24, 2011 - Baby due!

Some embassies will even re-issue the visa if a situation arises where the beneficiary can not execute it within the six month timeframe.

She needs to enter the US no later than the "expiration date" of the visa.

Does the 90 days of having ot be married start when she enters the US? Also I'm curious as to how people did this, 90 days is a short time to plan the wedding. Did a majority have the ceremony too or just go to the Justice of the Peace?
