Good morning to my fabulous K-3 ladies...and Steve! LOL

I'm just checking in to show my support and remind you that Thursdays have always been good days for approvals! Praying really hard for you all! I must admit, moreso for Lisa, as she has been in this nasty game as long as I have (2 days longer actually). Lisa, what are the chances of getting put in AP again after the interview? Probably very slim. So this might be good. The 7 or 8 weeks is better than the 6 mons to a year post interview.

I can't remember if I posted yesterday or not. If not, then I appologize. My foot was really killing me. I was also trying to get a lot of things done. My boss is out for 3 weeks so I'm in her place. Lots of administrative paperwork and "issues" that are being thrown at me. She has patience for other people's stupidity, I don't...so it stresses me out LOL

I didn't tell you all, but I mentioned to Lisa that during my last meeting with the legal assistant, I was asking her trends about AP and Muslim men. She pretty much dampened my spirit. I asked her "What about Muslim men coming from Western countries?" Then she told me about a UK citizen that's been in AP for a year, but he was Arab. So I'm really depressed about it. I'm trying to think through the situation and tell myself, if it happens, logically, what will I do? But I can't seem to think about it without crying. I keep trying to prepare myself and do this roll playing thing in my head...but then I just picture my husband telling me, "They said they need to review" and after that I just lose it...just thinking about it now is making me cry

I don't know...maybe I'm just being over emotional...

Hey, I really need you guys to be approved!!! I need my friends with me to get through NVC and the consulate steps! I can't survive anymore issues, let alone an AP notice alone!!!

Don't worry! I am sure you will get through this whole process in no time...

Lisa I am sure you will be out of AP shortly...

esposadetucho

Hey any questions i ca help with i am willing

UPDATE ON MY CASE

Where is Aruba?...I need permission to be mad at her :jest:

I adore you guys and am so glad we can laugh in spite of it all

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

back from info pass

I stood and talked with two women for a good 30 minutes. They told me they have no different information to tell me. Only what is on the website and they said I have access to the same things they do. She did explain the process to me in more detail though. Told me my case is probably taking longer due to our circumstances. I was very upset and was trying not to cry. She told me not to get upset over something that hasn't happened and may never happen. I don't know what I will do if I can't be with my husband. I am worried sick about everything. They told me all I can do is wait.

I made the appt by the skin of my teeth. I even got a $76.00 parking ticket because parking was only til 4pm and I got to my car at 4:05. Only me ! Only me ! this is my life. ####### !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :ranting::ranting:

I cried on the way home. I am sooooo upset. :crying::cry::cry:

hello everyone! I won't read back what happened while i was absent, I won't ask u how was yr valentines, because I only want to hear good news. my valentines was blue enough, our anniversary will be monday and on skype, so I couldnt take more sad stories these days. sorry. hope everyone is doing well, hope patience that we all learned during this journey still keeps everyone's chins up, it will be over soon. a lil more time and we'll be chiling in the forums at the bottom of the page, on random topics and the visa will be just a nightmare we left behind. not long from now I will be foruming with your spouses about how to spend time while our better half is at work and how to fight missing home, where to start searching for jobs, etc. those will be great times of boredom, when u wait yr lover for dinner.

anyways, I will be around more, I missed u and good winds for everyone sailing in here. the shore is close.

enjoy life,

Yeah, that sucks! I wonder if Narina got answers because when she made her info pass, I believe it was past the USCIS posted dates or at least within the time frames posted on their website. I think for us June/July filers we need to wait till they update their website and it shows that we are WITHIN the processing time, then maybe the info pass can help. Just a guess though. No one really knows the mysterious working of USCIS. If we did, we wouldn't be sitting here all frustrated waiting, waiting, and more waiting.... :clock::angry::clock::(:dead::cry:

Day 216 and this is getting really frustrating! So Jen, Lisa and Serendipity you guys need to hear the good news soon :)(F) . Once I am at Day 250 and if I haven't heard anything I know I will start freaking out big time! And now I am even more nervous wondering if we will get stuck in AP considering my husband is Muslim too!!!!:unsure::crying::crying: BTW Muslim in arabic means peaceful and he is such a nice peaceful guy! I want my husband back :protest::ranting::protest: Stupid terrorists making the rest of us pay for their crimes!!!!

Hey ladies...

Okay, I'm starting to think the officer that gave me the info was making it up... LOL But it can't be. He knew details about my case. He even knew about my husband's last port of entry! How is it possible that no one else was able to get any information? God, now I'm scared! Maybe we're the ones that are really flagged and you all are not!!!

Aruba, congratulations!

Jen, I know it's hard...but now we have something new to focus on. Getting that son here. The I-130 is a very easy application to fill out. It's the only one you fill out right now. Then you submit birth certificate with it. I think that's it. I could go back and look, but I'm pretty sure it was really easy. Oh yeah, and of course the passport photos. As long as the stepson is less than 21 years old, it will be easy and fast...then again, that's what that officer told me... when I asked him why the kids were approved so quick vs. my husband  When the I-130 gets approved, then you will need to fill out alot more paperwork and submit more stuff from yourself and him. That is where it gets a little more complicated (police clearance record, letter of permission from mother, passport bio page photo, everyone's birth cert, tax returns, and everything you'll need for your husband's petition, basically)...but I used a lawyer for my stepkids and would be more than happy to walk you through it. But it's actually really easy. I filled out the forms myself and then gave them to the legal assistant to type up while I just sat there. She only changed a few things of what I put on the forms. So I'd be more than happy to help you out.

Andreea, how are you? What stage are you two at now?

Aruba!!!! Congrats!!!!!!!!! Fabulous!!!!!! I'm so happy!!!! Makes me hopeful that when our turn comes, we can also get an appointment in a short time!!!!! 39 days!!!!!!!!!!!

Serendipity...I really thought today was your day :( I'm routing for you sweetie!!!

AHHHHH I'm at day 240. Only 10 more days til 250.......

I talked with my husband just now. I told him I have been feeling like #######... he said " maybe you're pregnant" and then he said " take care of my baby" he has me thinking now.hmmmmmmm I really think it is all this stress I am feeling. Although I never get emotional like I have been for the last 2 weeks. ughhhhh

I just need an approval so I will feel less stress. We are going to file the I-130 for my step-son. no lawyers though. His will be straight forward.
