I noticed that in January it was taking ppl 8 months to get approved but seems they got energized and are catching up and are now approving most ppl within the 7 mons window (Hope we are next JEN, SERENDIPITY, PRINCE+ANGEL and ME!!) probably cz they used our files for coasters for their coffees and became so energized from all the boost and started reviewing files quicker ;)

I noticed it too, ppl are getting their approvals faster than us "first quarter 08'er" <--just made that up

and Im so happy for that. You know, when I first joined VJ and started researching..California was slow and everyone wanted to be a Vermont. Maybe a change is coming SLOWLY.

May we all have our amore's,habibi's, loves and ect. very soon! ;)

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Definitely try to get a service request or expedite. Just a warning, you will get they are "currently" processing as of whatever date. My NOA1 was June 2nd and I got approved 8 months later, so they may have posted 6 months but I don't think its true.

ok heres what happened

I called... got a nasty newbie. Kept putting me on hold to ask questions.. I asked for a service request. she verified that i was out of range. Then she asked me if I requested any kind of service request . I said " yes, I inquired about my expedite request and found out it was denied" She said hold on..... then she came back and said I had to wait 61 days to put in another service request. I argued with her and told her I was told the expedite was totally different then the petitions. ( which I was told by USCIS) she argued back and told me I will have to wait and then got real snippy with me. I hung up on her and called back 2 seconds later . I got the nicest man ( Chad) and he put in a service request for my I129F not the I130. He said since I filed the k-3 it slows the processing down on the petition side but once it is approved the K-3 flies thru the visa process. So, he was nice enough to put in a service request for a file that wasn't even out of date range AND was so nice about it. I thanked him for being so nice. He was very appreciative. He did confirm that they go by the K-3 date ( not that I doubted you Lisa) So my priority date is July 29th. I know they are working on July. Hopefully with this service request, it will put a flame under someones rump. Maybe they will pull my file out from under the leg of the desk and process the SOB so I can be with my hubby !!!

He told me the stand alone CR-1's gets processed faster in the petiton side but could take an extra 6 months to a year on the VISA side. I am definately going with the K-3.

If there are any mis-spellings...Im sorry I don't feel like proof reading today

thats awesome Jenn! Isnt it sad that it depends on who you talk to?

I hope you get something out of it. When I did a service request I got back a generic letter saying they were "currently processing blafrigginbla"

I think your time is coming soon anyway.

The k3 vs cr1 is weighing heavy on me today since my AP theory got all blown to hell. (dont ask) lol

anyway, good deal Jenn. I'll keep my fingers crossed :)

the guy told me I will probably get a generic letter in the mail but I don't care.. I feel like I am doing something instead of just sitting around waiting.

I am sure that every time I call they take my file and move it back to the bottom of the pile.

I also called and got a very nice lady on the phone. She verified that my I 130 was out of the processing time already and put in a service request for it and said we would hear from them within 45 days by mail (it would be funny if the K 3 was approved by then). Who knows how helpful this service request is, but we'll take whatever option we have at this point. Who knows we might luck out and they'll suddenly realize oh no this petition has been sitting under the wobbly table for 7 mons now, let's trade it in with a fresher one and return this one to the pile

As for the K3 I was told they are processing May 12th (ours is 3 mons ahead on Aug 12th) which I already knew, duh :bonk:

But we know from our fellow Vjers that some with NOA1s for K 3 in July and August are being approved so we'll just sit tight and hope we get our approval before the service request response comes in the mail

I had 3 c-sections. The first one, they sent me home with Percocets. I was fine.

The second one, they sent me home and told me to take Tylenol .. SOB's !!!!!

The third one, I got the Morphine pump. AHHHHH heaven. All was well. But then when I went home they told me to take Motrin. Cheapskates.

The morphine worked wonders. I can see how it could be addicting !!! LOL

I am so glad its friday

Isn't it about that time to start the weekend party strand? I have a hot weekend with the cats planned. Tonight we'll eat take out and watch Soap Opera network and HGTV. Then tomorrow, we'll do laundry.

And to think last weekend I was with my husband in Costa Rica enjoying Valentine's Day. Sniffle.

I'm trying to keep my chin up b/c we have seen some marginal improvement at VSC in the last couple of months. My fingers are crossed and I'm clicking my heels that maybe they'll be down to six months when they get to Oct./Nov. petitions.

Also, I'm really hoping that everyone who is due gets an approval next week!

Ahh Caroline .... when I came back from Costa Rica I was sooooo sad. I still am. My husband has been a sweetie lately. It makes me want to run back to CR and stay with him. I might be going in April if I don't have an interview date. Tickets are dirt Cheap if I book it around March 28th thru April 7th. Out of Philly. Even cheaper out of Baltimore.

My weekend will be filled with laundry too. And my kitchen floor is screaming my name.

Please god, let me be the last approval of the day.

Let's keep our fingers crossed....I am so glad to be high on morphine on a depressing day like today!

AHHH Morphine... good memories !!!

how was your surgery? I see you got home to your computer. We're glad you're here !!!

15 more minutes til the weekend party starts... Whos gonna be the party poster !!!! Its Usually Narina...

Everything went of very well...The morphine is begining to wear off now

I am going to miss the Canadian Health care system when I get to the US. I can't believe how much money Americans spend for a health care, In Canada health care is freee......That's what tax dollars are for.

It's a great feeling to be able to walk out of a hospital without paying a cent.
