So I just came home from bringing my boo to the airport. So sad! We had SUCH an amazing time...part of me feels like he was always here & part feels like he was only here a few days. I might go into more detail later, but right now it's too hard.

Yes I know, I'm bein all DRAMA right now, cos as he & I always say he's not being shipped off to war, only England....but still it hurts right now & the silence in here is deafening. Once he went thru the gate, he walked around to where there was some glass & we waved goodbye to each other & he blew me a kiss. Then he called me from a payphone & told me to check my dictaphone. I have one in my car for work, so I checked it and he put a message on there for me. It was a lovely and wonderful message.

I was sad the whole drive home, cept for a part which had me laughin. See, there's this gun show coming to town so there are signs all over the place. Anytime we passed one & D saw it, he'd go 'gun show. grrrr' and flex his arms in a pisstake. So I passed one and thought of him doin that & was laughin and crying at the same time, hahah.

On a happy note, we picked our wedding song. And from the minute we heard it, we looked at each other and said 'this is it' simultaneously. See, we're both love Depeche Mode. And D gave me this song about 6 years ago. Also over 6 years ago, we were on the phone & he said:

talk to me

me: about what?

him: the world we live in and life in general

And that became a 'thing' of ours, only I'd intentionally mess it up and say 'life as we know it and the world in general' He'll jokingly grumble and correct me & I'll say 'whatever'

Oh god I remember those horrible airport goodbyes. Dayum I'm glad they're over with now. HUGS Lisa...I know those sad feelings....pampering is a good thing to do. Maybe open up a bottle of your favourite drink, one that you both like. Joel left me a shirt of his once, I slept with it for months. Had his smell on it y'know...
