I am confused for my case status, after today AOS interview. We prepare more than well on document that was requested in the interview letter. Our interview is schedule for 9:45am. We were in the waiting room at 9:15am. We were call for interview by almost 11:00am. First, swearing. Than, ask my name, wife name, social security number. Than she ask for my passport which I do not have one. I show her fax letter from embassy that passport is on the way to my home. Ask my wife for home number, address. Than official, ask for my business license and business card. I said I did bring my business license. And I could not find my business card. She than ask for my wife who own the house title she live before. My wife says the house is still under her name. She than ask who live in the previous house. My wife answer; daughter and uncle. She than ask for the utility bill of her pervious house. We were stunt why need to bring her previous house current bill. Than ask the standard question on 485. Show her my utility bill,insurance,photo,2005 tax filling, sequence of check wrote by both if us, deed and 2-gift receipt. And the official asks us to show her the actual gift and actual checkbook. We were surprise again. She said she would keep the I94.She than look at her computer, and said I will notify you within 90 day, but you should hear from a lot less than 90 day.

The official does not mention security check? Is that a good news?

Why she take the I-94?

Overall, we were stunt on few requests.

Can any one give me some idea where do I stand????

good Luck and quick results for you to get your approval.

Everyone is different in there green card results depending on your specific situation.

It has been nearing 1 month since our interview and nada, approaching 120 days on the whole AOS paperwork.

It looks like the INS officer wants to make sure you are spending money together and took the affidavit of support.

Moondancer

Oh, they did take the i-94 out of the passport. I got confused with all those numbers. This was our biggest hangup, the officer wanted to investigate if Anton had any over stays and why he kept traveling into the US so much! duh. He had a girlfriend, me.

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

I'm going to try not to be an as shole in this post.

You're from Malaysia, and your wife is USC... You only have one other post that id's your country of origin.

The uscis btch was playing you guys for a fool in my opinion - (she was playing with your head); that is, if you've explained everything that you went thru considering your english skill level. (I'm not berating your english, just trying to understand if you've actually said 'everything' that happened, often times small details omitted can have rather large implications).

Now, since you've posted this with limited historical information, you're asking for an answer that probably doesn't exist.

Your wife petitioned you to come here, or your wife the usc is married to you the foreigner, and yet she isn't proactive enough to counter this dumbass interrogation with plausible answers. Just one or two words...

like: 'She than ask who live in the previous house.'

My wife answer; daughter and uncle.

Now listen, if your wife only has two words to that question to answer... this doesn't make any sense. There has got to be more to this - I know this is an interrogation of sorts but that's their job. An interview is also a conversation... defend yourself if necessary... interact. Work the situation to the most favorable results.

It almost sounds like both of you walked into this interview feeling like `suspects` of a crime by the militia not wanting to say much of anything for fear of being incriminated.

Was it YOU or was it your USC wife that filed the AOS?... (filled out the paperwork and did the homework to figure out what to do?)

This interview stinks imo.

It could be though, that the bogus questions were more to get some kind of response/interaction from a dead tree (you guys) that didn't exist in other places.

With the limited information that you've posted here, that's the best that I could estimate. You sound like a straight up guy, but if you folks came off like cold dead fish at the interview (the way you describe it here) then I wouldn't be suprised if the adjudicator asked you how tall the world trade center was in 2003.

This is why they have interviews. To 'adjudicate'... to judge who you are, what you are and why you are trying to adjust to legal permanent residence status, and if it's within the definitions of the law. The interviewer's comments about 90 days/sooner than 90 days could be taken two ways:

"just wait until you get your denied notice and we'll see if you guys are real or not"... or...

"ah hell I'll approve this aos; maybe in a week or so after a good day when I'm in a good mood".

Who knows.

Yes Red Foreman, call me a dumbass
