Mailing Address is PO Box

Seemingly minor problem, but it could cause problems. We live in a rented condo and the owner wanted to retain his mailbox because he is living with his parents temporarily, in the same town, and didn't want to change his address on his accounts, etc. So, we have a PO Box for our mail. On the I-751, we listed the mailing address (the PO Box), as there was space for that. Nevertheless, USCIS sent the NOA to our residential address. Our landlord got it to us. However, for various reasons (he is out of town a lot, for one) we can't count on him to be sure to give us anything else that might come to his mailbox. I'm worried about missing the biometrics letter if USCIS sends that to the residential address.

Anyone else have them ignore the mailing address listed on the petition? Is it the PO Box that is a problem? Do you think it's worth an infopass appointment to get them to correct this?

Thanks for any advice!

We have PO Box also. And we did list on our adjustment of status paperwork. I believe we mentioned the physical address because I thought it would be "better" for them to see that but I put a nice letter in there asking to mail to PO Box, but as far as I can remember, they have sent the documents to the physical address. I do get nervous because we live on a private road and our street has 2 names and a lot of mail tends to get mixed up. Luckily my husband did get his 2 year gc in the mail at our phys address. The best advice I can give you is to tell your landlord be up front about it you are expecting some inportant mail in the next few months etc etc...would you please be on the look out for..............(letter)

good luck , we will be filing for removal of conditions in july 2009

Thanks JelloShotGirl! It does seems like the PO Box is not something they will send to, then.... I wonder if it's an anti-fraud thing? Anyway, I emailed our landlord and hopefully he will be on the lookout for the mail to us that goes to his box. Thanks again!
