has anyone had experience with this? thanks!

January 4th, 2008 we met on holiday in sri lanka

February 21, 2008 madu moved to Cambodia to live with me

October 3, 2008 our daughter was born in Thailand

Nov 14, 2008 sent I-129F to CSC

Nov 21, 2008 check cashed

Dec 3, 2008 NOA1 received

March 9, 2009 APPROVED!

March 19, 2009 sent to Embassy

Abandoning K-1 visa, staying together and abroad...

Someone sucessfully did this just recently..from morroco to spain. I THINK its as simple as asking the consulate if they are willing to preform the interview and processing and then just asking the assigned consulate to transfer the packet. BUT, this was a CR1. the K3 MUST be applied for in the country that the marriage took place. so if you are planning on following the k3 visa, I dont think it would be that simple.

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive,and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.
