Husband's middle name is missing in the NOA1

I received the NOA1 today and immediately noticed that my middle name is not spelled out, and my husband's middle name is missing. It only has his first name and last name. Should I call the USCIS to have them add his middle name? Does it matter in the long run? In all the application forms that I submitted, I included his full name (first, middle, and last).

I am by no means expert in the process, however my instincts says you MUST call the USCIS and inform them of the problem. I'd say that in the long run it DOES MATTER.

Hope this helps a little.

Have a wonderful evening.

Thanks Joe. I called the USCIS office this evening, but unfortunately their customer service is only available from Monday to Friday. I will call them again on Monday to inform about my husband's missing middle name. Again, thanks a bunch!

Thanks for the heads up Lonely heart. I wouldn't want to delay any process by calling the USCIS office. The waiting is already excruciating as it is.

Anyway, has anyone else experienced the same problem with the middle name? Does the NOA1 normally list the beneficiary's middle name? Or does it only happen to few and unlucky ones like me?

I would advise you to leave it like this. They didn't write mine on the NOA1 and I am the beneficiary. They didn't write my husband's middle either. Also there was a dash missing in my family name. When my husband called them to correct them, they said it was fine like this because they had our full names in their system and it wouldn't matter anyway for the documents.

So heads up!!!!!

Good luck everyone!

When I received my NOA1, my wife middle name doesn't show on the paper, but when I called them. They told me not "TO WORRY", the system actually showing my wife middle name. IMO, I will call just to make sure all name are spell correctly.

Good Luck.

Carlish,

I wouldn't worry too much about it because they did the same on my wife's notification.

I called USCIS and they sent me a letter stating that they reviewed our application and found no errors and everything matched the application. They omitted her last anme from the notification.

I would recommend that you double check your copy of the I130 that you sent in and if everything is correct. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Hey were you able to correct this?

I noticed on the NOA that i received for my mom for her I-130 application, the middle name is also missing but on her NOA for 485/765/131 has middle name initials.
