My husband is finally getting his Italian police certificate together. I thought we had a longer wait for our NO2 so I didn't push him enough to get it done then VSC gave us the good news on the 9th. I had all my tax info ready since December and my 2008 tax forms will be ready by Tuesday. Boy needs to get the lead out if he wants to see his loving wife again!!!

My wife is a very strong minded woman. I tend to be the more emotional one ... but we are both starting to slip into some depression about all this. She keeps on telling me on skype "I want to come home" with a painful tone. It really hurts to want to protect her, hold her and ease my wife's pain and not be able to do anything about it because this whole situation is out of our hands.

I think it has gotten even harder on us when we see others with dates close to or even later than us get thier approvals. On one hand, I am so happy for those that are able to move on to getting their spouse home ... but on the other hand, it makes us wonder "where's ours"?

I am missing her so much ...

It's hard, but look on the bright side. You're with California Service Center. You will probably get your approval any day now. Those of us at Vermont waited an eternity. There are several of us that got passed up while others who filed after us have been approved. Unfortunately USCIS has no rhyme or reason with their process. They seem to do things at random!

I too feel ur pain...sounds similar to our case. I started off the day so excited cz my husband received the VDay gift I sent him and didn't c it coming and he was so happy...but then I went to get our taxes filed and the accounted had no clue how to file and then the whole world came down crashing on me and I was an emotional mess ..The poor old man looked at me and wondered why am I such an emotional mess?? I felt bad for him cz unless he was a VJ member he couldn't begin to comprehend!! So i left needing my husband so much and actually cried my eyes out on Vday

But I agree that CSC is much much faster. Look at the bright side as hard as it is, we filed in July and are still waiting and yours is October and you are very close. There are people who filed last January and it's been over a year and they are still waiting... My prayers go to them as I can imagine what they must be going through. All we can do is stand strong as much as we can (and I know it's very hard and take solace that today we are one more day closer to our approval

Actually, I want to share something my friend told me. Her friends that she knew a long time. one of them lost her husband. They were fairly young (in their 50's) and she was already a widow. So my friend told me that it gave her a wake up call.

She said that even though her lover is oceans apart and that she only gets to see him on holidays...she realizes that he's still alive. He's still there. And he's still hers. She told me to remember this when I get down.

Yes, sometimes we forget. I know I do. I'll complain and wonder "Can life get any worse?" But the truth is, it can get worse. We are all lucky that we have our loves...and they are alive and well. We can talk to them anytime we want. We know they are safe and that eventually we'll be together, God willing. Some people lost their loved one...and they will never EVER get to see them again.

Yes, it hurts and it's hard...but at least you know they are still here!

WOW Narina, thank you for that!! We all need to be reminded of this! I totally agree and that is exactly what I tell myself and what I tell my husband when he is the one breaking down...Now we need you to remind us when we both break down together and need someone to remind us it can be much worse lol

When I get upset I think about things like that. When my daughter was diagnosed with her cancer, it turned my head around. Nothing matters more than family. You only get one life and you need to live it the best way you can. Be thankful you are alive. Be thankful for every minute you get to spend with people you love. I could have lost my daughter. Once you lose someone, they aren't coming back. People talked alot of SH!T about our age difference but I knew in my heart that what they all said didn't matter. I love him and I want to be with him. The haterz don't matter. I look forward to a happy life with my husband and my kids. You never know how long you have on this earth. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger, RIGHT? I just wish VSC would approve my petition so I can get on with my life.

I'm surprised anyone gave you a hard time. They usually give the men a hard time on VJ. I don't know why people judge others who do the same as they do! People judge about men marrying younger women all the time, when women marry younger men (as I've seen here on VJ) too. Who cares? All that matters is that you're happy. Besides, you got the body of a 16 year old girlfriend! They're just talking trash cause they're jealous! We'll talk more about it on FB where it's more private LOL
