Hello to all,

I have a question that hopefully someone can help me with. I submitted a K1 petition on behalf of my fiance, who lives in Ghana, and his interview is in April. I just need to know what are the most important proof of relationship documents that are required. We have a variety of documents (a few letters, pictures, phone records, but mostly e-mails) that span from 2006, when we first met, to present. Do the officers put more weight to certain documents than others? How much should we submit? I am thinking to print every e-mail and phone record that we have, as well as copies of all our letters and pictures, but I'm just not sure of how much is enough. Any advice anyone can give would be wonderful.

P.S. I forgot to mention that I do have my travel documents from the three trips that I have taken to Ghana, in 2006 when we first met, and then in 2007 and 2008. I have kept all of my boarding passes and trip iteneries (sp?). We only have about 5 or 6 good pictures of us together, only from the 2007 and 2008 trips because we had camera issues and just weren't focused on taking a lot of pictures. Will this be a problem? Are there any other important proofs that we will need to submit?

Thanks!

I believe if you make available all the items that you mentioned in your post, that you should be ok. Bringing more evidence to an interview is always much better then bringing less.

Even pictures of you all that you may consider not to be too clear; the more the better.

Hi,

I had my K1 Visa with no problem and here is what I included as a proof of relationship

Emails (around 8 or 9), telephone bill details(of 3 different months), and most importantly pictures(5 or 6). Two of the pictures had him with my family to prove that he visited me in my country and that he met my family.

Good luck.

Okay, let's see, I had several hundred emails, IM logs, telephone logs, travel receipts, ring receipts, cards and letters (including the envelopes for the postal date stamps), pictures. I don't recommend making copies unless you take the originals to show them. Include pictures across families which I think is good, like I had me with his brothers at one of his soccer matches, that kind of thing.
