error in DS-156

hi there...i already filled out and printed the DS-156 form but when i was reading it again... made a mistake on the month of my ex-spouse...i accidentally click my birth month of September instead of December? is it ok to make and print another one? or that will change the barcode and mess up the form... any help please...thanks what's the best thing to do... I made a mistake as well on my daughter's DS-156 form...forgot to to click yes on #39- Was this person prepared to you by another person on your behalf? thanks

Information only goes to the barcode that's generated each time . You can retype and print as many different ones as you want.

i want to sak you do you have to fill up a form DS-156 for the child, when you got your letter from the embassy did they state this in your letter can you help thanks

Two options.

Print a new one and do it again, do not worry about the bar code. I downloaded mine and did not do them online, I filled in by hand and did not get a bar code printed on the form, not at all. No problem, the consulate printed one on a labe and stuck it on there while we waited for our interview, wasn't even mentioned in our "no questions asked" interview. Still another mistake...my wife filled in the worng birthdate for one of her sons on their DS-156. They did call that to her attention (before the interview) She corrected it, at the consulate, by drawing a line through the information, wrote the correct information above it and initialed the change. No problems. The consulates normally do not get to worried about clerical erros when they are clearly that.

Two options.

Print a new one and do it again, do not worry about the bar code. I downloaded mine and did not do them online, I filled in by hand and did not get a bar code printed on the form, not at all. Just wanted to mention ... some embassys require the barcode and for it to be typed out and not hand written ... US Embassy in Sydney wont accept hand written ones ...
