Hello fellow VJers,

I'm so glad that I found this website to research all this visa stuff thoroughly, and as not to worry so much. I just sent off the very first forms, the I-129F and G-325A on February 10th.

OK. The things that I am worried about are as follows.

My mother is going to co-sponsor my Greek Fiance, and lives across the country at the moment. I have a lot of family (brothers, sisters, father) who live much closer, but my mother is the best candidate, as she is supportive of only herself.

I'm wondering if I can have more than one sponsor for the I-134 Affidavit of Support, including myself? My mind would be more at ease, if I could just get paper work from closer distances, than from 3000 miles away with my mother, if the need comes up. I'm also just worrying that it will come down to the last moment, and I will be frantic for paperwork, and it will be in the mail.

Another fun worry of mine.

My fiance is currently in the mandatory Greek army for one year. When he receives the information regarding his interview, will he have any leniency on when to show up for the interview? He will have to schedule time off and go back to his home city of Athens, Greece, from possibly even Cyprus. I do know that when he is issued the visa finally, that he has 6 months in which to enter the United States. This isn't as much of a problem, because as I hear, the paperwork takes about 9 months, giving him enough time to get out of the army, and come on over.

Thank you everyone in advance if anyone can manage my questions. :D

Typically only one co-sponsor for the I-134, the consulate is simply picking one over the other, the co-sponsor needs to make more that 125% poverty line. Makes no difference if the co-sponsor lives across town or on the other side of the USA.

And yes timing should be fine, the process tends to take 9 months or so, and the visa will be valid for another 6 months beyond that.
