Durian is so offensively odorous that it is banned in most hotels and airplanes. But once you get past the odor, this "king of fruits" has a pulp that is said to taste like a rich custard. So is the alleged arousal worth suffering the stink? Perhaps… if you believe the famous Malaysian saying, "When the durians come down, the sarongs come off."

The above item comes from AOL.com. Would you believe durian, even how stinky it may be, is my favorite fruit and almost everyone here in Davao craves for it. No wonder the population of Mindanao soars! :star:

Don't blame it on the durian..it's the people who don't have the family planning method. There are many places in the world that have no durian or the people have not seen durian in their whole life but their population shows the same trend. How many kids do you have now as an effect of the durian?

I was in Davao City late last year and I feasted on durian. It's pungent but so sweet and it deliciously tickles too! I don't think it is an aphrodisiac, though. How I wish they grow durian here in Baguio.

¿Crees que el durian es un afrodisiaco? ¡No lo creo, comadre! He comido tanto durian cuando fui a la ciudad de Davao hace tres años, pero no senti nada.

I love durian, but I wouldn't let it sit inside my house. It is stinky!

Yeah, you're damn right, it's stinky but delicious. I bet you wouldn't let it sit inside your house, but if your husband has just eaten some durian, in a few minutes, he will not just sit in your house, he'll be all over you inside your house!

I had intended to try it on my trip. HOwever, my fiance' said that if I eat that, I'm not getting NEAR her for the rest of the day. I didn't think it was worth sacrificing our limited time together.

I did get to smell it, twice. We were on the 2nd floor of the hotel, and it was wafting down the staircase from one of the higher floors. Then leaving Mindanao, some jerk had it with him to board the plane. Stunk up the security check area which we all had to pass through.

Yes, it is true that durian has aphrodisiac effect. If you're concern of it, just eat papaya after eating durian because it can lower your libido then... :secret:
