I think it depends on the consulate, but normally you'd need to contact them by phone or email, as they cannot know ow long it will take you to get the extra documents; in my case, there was a problem with my Irish police cert (they got my birthdate wrong by two years), so I had to get that corrected before the visa could be issued. On the form they gave me, there was a phone number right there. I rang the day I got the corrected cert and got an appointment at the embassy the next day.

Marlene I think you need to change "country" on your profile, your topics keep showing in the Dominican Portal but you are dealing with the Mexico consulate.

Marlene, you do not have to set up an appt. with ciudad juarez. That is what the open appt. letter is for that they send you in your approval packet. Im not sure about where you are in your K-1 adventure, but if you have any questions, let me know. My husband was down in Juarez in december doing a k-1. We have since gotten married and i will be mailing his AOS papers next week.
