I am a LPR. I applied for my wife in 2004. My PD is Dec 2, 2004. Recently I have completed all my papers with NVC and it says my case is completed on Feb 11th 2009. Can anyone please tell me how long do I need to wait for my wife to be scheduled for the interview. By the way my consulate office is in Bangladesh. Thanks.

Your wife is in the F2a category. Currently, visas are available for F2a with PD July 1, 2004 and earlier. Hopefully, your wife's PD will be current within 2009. There is no way to predict when your wife's PD will be current. Based on past movements of the PDs within the F2a category, I guess her PD will be current by September. This is only a guess, it could be sooner or later.

Hi love bird! I am also from f2a category from philippines my PD is january 2005 almost close to your wife's PD. I just want to ask when did NVC starts to sent paper works to you and to your wife (choice of agent form, DS 230, etc) because after my petition got approved last oct 2008 and recieved one letter from NVC with new NVC case number until now I haven't received anything from NVC considering that my PD is just 1 month behind your wife's PD. thank you!

You should get choice of agent form by this time. Usually they start the process about a year before the PD becomes current. If you moved to a new address after filing ur case then u need to call NVC and update ur address and then they will send another copy of the choice of agent letter to you. Your wife should also receive the same letter by this time. If none of you received the letter, I would go ahead and call NVC.

Thanks for the input. I hope it will be before september. NVC automated voice systme says in 8 weeks I will be notified about my next step. I read another post from one VJ member he was also a LPR and he got his wife's interview scheduled 6 months before the PD. Thanks.
