I have a question to all members here.Im petitioning my fiancee.Heres the case.My fiancee worked and resided abroad for seven years.when she went back home to philippines she decided to change her passport but now she lost her old one. Now, the consulate of the country she resided will not give her a police clearance unless she has her old passport because thats the only way they will check her records or if she has the passport number then someone can get it for her in that country. Is there anyway she can retrieve her old passport number?and If i decide not to include her previous residency abroad will the USEM find out about it?and how?she has a new passport now and no stamps that she travel to that country.Any advice?

The issuing authority of her 'new' passport should have a record of her previous one - check with them.

As far as leaving off this work/travel information - not a good idea, having unexplained gaps in the biographical (or other) areas can/will cause issues down the road. Best to do the leg work in advance.

Not sure on how to retrieve the lost passport number, but what i know of is that, the USEM have the capability and will eventually have a background check of your fiancee later on, which includes immigration records in and out of the country so i suggest you better tell everything as they would find out about it later on. In my case, i also requested for Police clearance from other country that i lived for more than 6 mos. but i just went to the consulate of the said country over here in the Phils and requested for one, i just gave them the request letter from the USEM. Btw, what country did she stayed for several yrs anyways? Hope this helps. Goodluck
