Shhhh Don't let the facts get in the way of some people's Kumbaya we are all the same views. These stats also came out in 1996. Based on the rapid increase of Latino population I am sure the numbers are much higher now. Every time I am at a walmart, without fail, there will be a Latino woman with 2 or 4 kids hanging off her.

I can certainly accept that many (or even most) gang members in LA are black or hispanic. What I don't understand is what implications are being put forward as a result of this.

It just seems like the same dodgy old reasoning that gets minorities pulled over/aside on the assumption of wrongdoing, not by virtue of actual suspicious activity but on the basis that their ethnicity makes them so.

Once again, note which race is decreasing while which race is increasing. Nearly 50% of gang bangers are now Latinos.
