I didn't need a study to know that Asians are smarter than Caucasians.

me either. i've had an alarm clock for 2 years & couldn't figure out how to set the alarm & a universal remote for 6 months & couldn't program the damn dvd & surround sound....15 minutes the wife has them both working.

I didn't need a study to know that Asians are smarter than Caucasians. They also have the highest percentage of degrees per race in America.

believe me, asians are not smarter than caucasians. i know some damned sharp ones, and some really stupid ones. on average, i would guess that caucasians are better educated (worldwide with china a heavy negative), but smarts ain't measured by degrees or test scores (half of chinese test scores are faked, anyway - my wife used to sit in english exams for immigrant candidates for 6000 rmb = CET6, 8000 rmb = CET8).

the percentage of degrees statistic is highly skewed by grad students immigrating to america and getting green card/USC through their employer. you'd be suprised at how many asians currently in the US came over that way.

I find it interesting that some people like to form opinions about people based on the colour of their skin or where they are from...

Hopefully, yes, but i am sure many of us make such generalizations. Still, individuals can overcome stereotypes levied against them, but the generalizations are here to stay, I am afraid. It is amazing how a person changes once you get to know him/her!

Professor J Phillipe Rushton's research project on racial profiling (and the one linked) was funded by the pro-facist Pioneer Fund 1981.

In 1989 J. Phillipe Rushton’s colleagues in the BGA (Behavior Genetics Association) protested his views and "findings" in the study. 5 key officers of the BGA circulated a letter on the 17th of February to the membership calling Rushton’s work "insensitive," "repugnant," and "dubious scientifically."

J. Phillipe Rushton has also been criticised for repeatedly misrepresenting data and selectively citing and misinterpreting sources.

He became an outcast from the reputable scientific community in the 1990s. His reputation was so low that he was booed off the Geraldo Show. The only major supporters of his biased racial ideology are members of the white supremacist movement.

And for anyone who wonders where I found out this info? Just tap in the man's name on google and a ton of stuff about him pops up. None of it praising his skills, achievements or work.

He's an embarrassment to the scientific community and a laughing stock.

Clearly in the western world, RACE can only be discussed within certain parameters, to stray from the approved assumptions, such as "the only difference between groups of people is, skin pigment"

is to invite perfunctory attacks.

The key is to be able to suspend disbelief, suppress obvious questions and ignore the reality you see before you every day.

Why do we do this?

Hitler.

The last thing we want, is to give rise to any such movement or leader which might evaluate "different" to mean "less than".

Or to profess "intelligence" to mean "worth".

It's a noble goal for peace loving people, (as I think we all are), however time may prove it to build... rather than defuse the very movement it hopes to keep smothered.

Which it has had - on here and in the scientific communities. I don't think there are many of VJ who subscribe to its ethics or support it.
