Word up guys!

I'm going going, back back, to Bulgaria, Bulgaria....next month to see my beautiful future wife! Im so STOKED!!!! I got the tickets for around $775.00 USD from Orbitz.com.

We plan to spend time tooling around in Sofia, trying some new restaraunts and seeing some new sites. I can't wait to be with Dani again!

Anyone else want to share their story? Maybe fill us in on where you are going, how much you paid for the "cheap ticket" and where you bought it. Good luck to everyone! :)

I'm going back to Guatemala April 9-19!!! I got my ticket for $475 USD (Delta) but I have to drive 2 hours to the airport and back. Actually, instead of driving, parking my car, etc., and then landing at 11pm on the 19th and returning to work at 7:30am on the 20th, I am paying my brother gas money to drop me off and pick me up! I'm just hoping the 19th will be the last goodbye and I will have my bibo here with me by June or July!!!!!

Have a safe trip!

Tom finishes in Bahrain in a couple of weeks so he is stopping in the UK for 10 days before he goes on back to the US. He was supposed to be arriving tomorrow but his replacement got delayed. Can't wait as it's been six months.

Then in April I'm off to see him. Got a very good deal with Delta for a direct flight from London to Atlanta.

Wow! Too bad Delta doesn't fly to BG. I know all about driving to the airport. I used to have a 3 hour drive to Charlotte when I lived out in BFE..lol Have a safe trip too! And enjoy the nice warm weather! :)

I am finished with dropping my wife at O'Hare, God that was a miserable long trip home to come back to an empty house, like she is finished dropping me off at Caracas. I hope you see that day soon. Now, we travel together. Also listened to the radio hoping not to hear about plane crashes, but we would call instantly on arrival to let each other know we were okay. If our plane crashes today, we will be together.

I'm going to China again next month. I got a direct flight to Beijing for $930, the cheapest I've ever paid. Still have to find a flight for the short hop to Shenyang, but that's fairly cheap. I can't wait to see her again. And hopefully, this will be the last time I have to leave her. That long flight home, alone, is always hard.

Flying to Charlotte to see Pedro end of March (in 5 weeks  ). Booked it four weeks ago and I am, as always, flying with US Airways from Frankfurt direct to Charlotte for €630. Non direct is way cheaper, but I rather fly direct and save myself the hassle.

Safe travels, everyone!

China is quite a haul. March seems like a cheap month for flights. Your right the flight home is a hard one, and Dani and I want this to be our last seperation too. :) Safe travels!

I don't blame you at all! My return flight is from BG to DC and then to Charlotte. It saved me a lot of money, but I'm sure I will regret it during the lay over. You might be on a Lufthansa plane? I fly them most of the time. Welcome to Charlotte! And have a great time here during your stay! Safe travels :)

I had bad layover experience in summer - I flew from Frankfurt to Savannah (Pedro and I went to Hilton head Island), via Chicago and United lost my luggage on the way there. Took them forever to find it. Then on the way back, via DC, my plane was delayed for 8 hours plus on the flight from SAavannah to DC, I had to sit next to a broken toilet in the back row - and it was 100°F outside. lol

So no more layovers in the US for me - if I can do it direct, I will! I am sure it was just bad luck, but still.

And so far I have been happy with US Airways. They are on time, the food is ok and they serve lots of water and juice inbetween meals. All good.

Are the Lufthansa planes so much better? Last time I flew with them was 5 years ago and they still had no in-seat entertainment units.

Your right. Lufthansa only has the movie screens on the wall. The only problem is their flights are always packed on the way back to the States. I always end up next to the screaming baby for 10 hours! By the way...weather in Charlotte has been really nice and warm lately. I hope it holds out for your arrival. :)
