Hello everyone,

I have been looking at a lot of sites and all over here and can not find the information I need. If anyone can answer this I will be very appreciative. After I marry my fiance in the US how long before she will be able to work?

60 - 90 days after you file for AOS if you also file for EAD. There is no additional fee for the EAD.

Unfortunately I think that 60 days is wishful thinking. You should bet on 90 before she has the EAD.

EAD approval notice was in 59 days, but it took two more weeks to get the card in hand.

I suppose with the approval notice you could tell a potential employer you had work authorization approved and would have the card shortly. It would give you something more specific to tell them as far as when you could work.

Man you were lucky. Most people have to wait the 90 days. We got ours approved on day 89 - and that was after 2 INFOpass appointments.

If you find an employer who subscribes to E-verify, you can go to work almost right away, since they go by the Alien Registration Number. Otherwise, you need to wait for your EAD. We filed in December, and my wife received her card in February, about 60 days later, a few weeks after her biometrics appointment.
