I received my approval for both the I130 and the I129F together dated the same day Jan. 20. den a couple of weeks i received the letter for k3 stating that my case is being transferred to Pakistan. After a few days i received another letter for I130 for the $70 fee. I paid the fee. Now im so confused. I spoke to my lawyer and he suggested to forget about the k3 visa and really consider the I130. Now i have no idea what to do??      Give anyone can give me some advice. I get the biggest headache when i think about this.

If your significant other will be moving to the United State, and you will be living here together, go for the I-130 (CR-1) and forget about the K-3. I also had both petitions approved, and I am going the I-130 route as well.

what do YOU want?

do you want to go forward with the cr1,and potentially wait a little longer and get your spouse here greencard ready?

or do you want to go the "quick route" and have to file for AOS?

Some people sucessfully follow both visas, go through nvc quickly and "flip" their k3 interviews to the cr1 interview, thus gettting the "better visa" in the same time as a k3. Others have tried, failed and ended up with the k3 interview anyway.

I would go to the consulate forum and check out the info for your consulate. see how far out they are scheduling each visa.

good luck

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

your I-129f and I-130 is just in the process thats all...that $70 is for affidavit of support for I-130...thats all...no need to panic heller.

im not fussing about the money. the thing im worried about is what my lawyer considered. He said at one time we only can follow one case. Now that doesn't make sense to me. Life is hard when you gotta b a single parent. I just dont know anymore. i was happy with what i knew b4 i went to him. N wuh is heller?

heller is just an expression..its hello but made it heller...hehehehe...i wasnt referring about the money i was referring about you being so not relax about the petition...its up to you whether to go for k3 or go for cr1..but your lawyer is right coz when the beneficiary get to usa...you just have to sit and relax and wait for the ssn and green card unlike k3 you need to do another forms...etc etc..heller...hehehhehehhe.

Peace and hope you will have better decision.
