hello guys

my story like this i end up abuse from husband he tolk everything like phone i dont know what to do that time, i have lots of bruces what i need i called police, the police asking me if i filled charges to my husband i told them yes . but when the police gone . my husband he dont want to give my child. unless i void the case. so i called the police and void the case. i was trumatized at the time. so early morning i have chances i called cab to let me and child get out from the house and stay from friends house and i open the case back. what my husband did he filed devorce for me now. and we are now fighting for custody for my 6months child . i am so worried because he wants the primary custody. and he also filed for restrating order against me and my daughter. question, i do have job now? is that posible he can get the baby?

i am just living to my friends house now? another problem few months i need to file for removal of conditional of residency what do i need to submit i am sure he dont want to sign it for me... please advice arlene

Consult with a lawyer, quickly. Your local Legal Aid Society can help with no fee if you can't afford it. Your husband's abusive behavior and the fact that the police know of it, should ensure that no court would award custody to him. But a competent lawyer must argue that for you. You can also file for your green card on your own, due to the abusive marriage.

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive,and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.
