Sounds like you are not in love with anyone, only with the idea of hispanic men, that is maybe the reason you are falling into situations where they are using you. Find your self 1st. You are married now what are you doing in cuba. C that is a sign you are being naughty. If you have respect for your self make it work with your husband.

Are you the type who just can't live without a man?

I mean come on now seriously?? You want to get a quick divorce so you can get it on with some other guy? Go through a process again? You're not in love, you're confused and immature.

I don't think she is immature, you have never been together to a Dominican man, it is the hell.

One of the reasons why I decided to look other places is because they are really bad.

Hello,

I have been in a relationship with a Dominican for nearly three years. We decided to get married in June of 2008. We had had problems but we were in love and I tried to live in the D.R.--couldn't make it work, so I moved back to U.S. and he could not get a renewed tourist visa or come here in any other way. So we started the immigration process to bring him here with the I-130. Since we were married we have had major problems. I still love this man, but I am tired of the constant stress, the lack of respect, his bad temper, the financial drain he has put on me because of bad decisions. It's hard to know which of these will change when we can live together again in the U.S. in healthy conditions as a married couple. Anyway, I was in Cuba recently without him, and I am well aware that Cubans can play foreigners very well, but I met the most amazing man. I can't stop thinking about him and when I tried to tell my husband what had happened and I needed time to think about what I wanted to do, he lost it, threatened suicide, promised to change anything and everything, and is trying to keep as his wife. I don't understand how I can feel like I love two men, and I never wanted anything other than one husband for my whole life. I don't like divorce and think it happens way too often, but here I find myself contemplating divorce. My problem is, I never went to Cuba legally, I don't know if things will even work out with the Cuban, but mostly, if I am processing for my husband now...what will immigration say if I get a divorce and then file for a fiance visa for the Cuban in the next year? Will I ever have a chance of making it work? Part of me thinks I could make my marriage work and be happy, but part of me worries I will always wonder if I could have had something better with this Cuban who is much more educated, much more stable, and just seems to be a better match for me? I just want to know my options before I make any decisions. But any advice in this would be appreciated. I am trying to start seeing a therapist as I really do feel confused and lost. Thanks.

Go for counseling. If it doesn't work then make your own decision and go thru what your heart is telling you.

Just you will have a difficult time explaining your travel to Cuba ilegally.

I don't think her situation is funny, I think the fact that you can justify leaving one and going with another is immature and the notion of "looking elsewhere" while still married is ridiculous. I know it happens, but in my opinion, its immature and selfish. Sure you may be unhappy in your marriage, but going to another country and falling for another man... you can't justify that, no matter how unhappy you are. Clean up your life before allowing someone else in.

That's all I am going to say.

It is extremely immature.

It's extremely insecure, and far removed from reality and logical thinking.

It seems like the OP is chasing that "excited/butterfly in the stomach feeling" She says she "cant stop thinking about him" thats not love, that is courting and it wears off in time. you cant jump from guy to guy to keep that up....well you can, but it wont fill that hole in you.

good luck!

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

And the OP actually said something about not understanding why people divorce too easily? Marry smbody and go on a holiday and fall in love with another guy and contemplate divorce and petitioning for the other guy. Is that her idea of the way relationships should be handled? She's just in love with the idea of being in love. She's not ready for a marriage or any sort of relationship.

I didn't say to her to find a new love while she is still marry. Of course, she has to get a divorce first.

No, I don't justify that either.
