I have never heard of such a thing! Like slim, I was wondering what caused them. I used to be way more well endowed than I am now (god bless my plastic surgeon!!) and still have never heard of it.

Good information, Janice!

My doc didn't say that, but what your doc makes total sense. When it happened to me I was drinking a lot of wheatgrass and barley greens, which detoxes the daylights out of you - I got pimples on my forhead and I was blowing my nose a lot...er ah productively. Sorry for the TMI.

Thanks Elizabeth, no not TMI I think information from personal experience is important no matter what it looks like, MEN and woman need to know there bodies, woman get told all the time to check this and to check that, men if you are reading this please check yourself too, you know the places.

I am checking my breasts right now  ...I am serious,I freak out about these things and I am very aware of my body so I have it checked every time I feel something not ok.Was worried about 10 days ago cause I had a little ``playground accident`` while I was playing with my 5 year old niece and she bumped with elbow into my left breast, was very painful but nothing serious so far.

Thought might be a bacteria in your case arwensun since you mentioned you were prescribed antibiotics and I am glad you got this done, still not nice at all being a very sensitive area of the body.....get well soon (F)

Scumpi please try not to freak out about this, I know easier said than done, just do what you normally do and check. You are doing everything right, knocks and bumps can cause bruises especially around children, just checking the breast area once or twice aweek to ease your mind is ok.

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

It is serious. Most women don't know their "breasts" include the area below the breast all the way around and into the armpits - that's why I stopped using antiperspirants or any under arm deodorant with aluminum and zinc and Lord knows what.

I stopped too... Long time ago I discovered the best deodorant EVER: Milk of Magnesia!!! Yes, that nasty creamy laxative liquid!!! The brand Phillips is the best to use as deodorant, other brands are too liquid.

The ingredients are: magnesium, purified water and sodium hypochlorite. Very effective...

Carol ;)

PS (but it leaves that white residue on the clothes (washable) if you dont wait to dry b4 get dressed...)

Janice I am glad you are OK... and thank you for the reminder. (F)

Paul and I met on the Bazaar on the 14th January (he joined my progressive rock forum that day)

July 3rd he flew to England to meet me

We fell in love while he drove all over the place coz I cannot read maps (we were supposed to go to Ingleton - but touched Darlington 4 times, Pierce Bridge 6 times, Scotch Corner twice and Bernard Castle twice and we never did make it to Ingleton)

It has been so long and so much has happened in between...

Arrived in Houston on October 29th 2006

Married 17th November 2006

Lost my father 8th January 2007 (all dates are a blur after this)

Ladies, it is not very likely that deodorant use is associated with breast cancer. Physiologically it doesn't even make sense. Here's an article from the Journal of the National Cancer Institute:

Here's the abstract (summary)

The rumor that antiperspirant use causes breast cancer continues to circulate the Internet. Although unfounded, there have been no published epidemiologic studies to support or refute this claim. This population-based case– control study investigated a possible relationship between use of products applied for underarm perspiration and the risk for breast cancer in women aged 20–74 years. Case patients (n = 813) were diagnosed between November 1992 and March 1995; control subjects (n = 793) were identified by random digit dialing and were frequency-matched by 5-year age groups. Product use information was obtained during an in-person interview. Odds ratios (ORs) and 95% confidence intervals were estimated by the use of conditional logistic regression. P values were determined with the Wald {chi}2 test. All statistical tests were two-sided. The risk for breast cancer did not increase with any of the following activities: 1) antiperspirant (OR = 0.9; P = .23) or deodorant (OR = 1.2; P = .19) use; 2) product use among subjects who shaved with a blade razor; or 3) application of products within 1 hour of shaving (for antiperspirant, OR = 0.9 and P = .40; for deodorant, OR = 1.2 and P = .16). These findings do not support the hypothesis that antiperspirant use increases the risk for breast cancer.

Breast self-exam probably won't hurt you but it's not clear it helps. Getting a clinical exam from your doctor once a year helps, and mammograms at least every 2 years when you're over 40 and every year over 50 DEFINITELY ABSOLUTELY helps. So get those mammograms.

But don't worry too much about the deodorant
