Arrival/Departure Dates

So we're working on our paperwork here and we got to the question of "have I ever been in the US?" The answer is yes. But I never had an I-94 or I-95 and I don't recall my exact arrival departure dates. I didn't even have a passport at the time!

What am I supposed to say there?

I just recorded the dates since getting my passport. I couldn't remember the earlier ones either!!

I wrote down to the best of my memory the dates I was in the US - in some cases it was along the lines of 2 weeks mid December, 2003, 2 weekends a month from June to September, 2006, etc. I used to do historical re-enactments and crossed the border quite a number of times a year for a weekend. Just do the best that you can and let them know you don't remember the exact dates but the approximate dates are as follows.

You wouldn't likely receive an I-94. Canadians have a special relationship with the US and are allowed to enter without visas for visiting purposes. If you have a paper visa then you would have been issued an I-94 but most Canadians never see one. Don't worry about that - just write down "Canadian - no I-94s issued" where it asks.

I just wrote down the major trips I remembered and then for the rest I put "from this date to this date I made numerous trips to the US"

I just recorded the dates since getting my passport. I couldn't remember the earlier ones either!!

Even that could be problematic for many Canucks, as entries into US aren't always stamped into the passport (nor are re-entries to Canada stamped).
