Invoice Identification Number

Has anyone else been having problems getting the Invoice Identification Number. I have tried soo many times, but the operator keeps saying you have to wait until you get the paper in the mail. Any suggestions on how to get it?

They wouldn't give it to me either. I just ended up waiting. Only took 2 or 3 days to get it by mail.

You should not worry about it as much. Your priority should be the DS3032, so that DS230 can be generated. By the time the DS3032 form gets accepted, the IIN should have arrived in the mail and then you make both payments (I-864 and DS230) online. Once paid, you can send the completed forms and the supported documents via mail.

The DS 3032 has already been submitted and received by email.

I've read several posts by other VJ members where they said they kept on trying. When our case was at the NVC I only called late at night because I found the customer service reps to be nicer and more willing to help. So try calling after 11 p.m. EST to see if you have better luck getting the IIN.

We are in the same boat as you. I have tried numerous times to get the IIN number and still with no luck. Our 3032 was received and approved already and the IV bill has been generated as well and still we have not received the AOS bill. I called again last night and they told me just wait on the mail. The AOS bill was generated on the 6th but the operator said she can't give it over the phone unless it has been more than 2 weeks without receiving it in the mail.

Received the AOS hard copy yesterday with IIN on it so now both bills paid waiting for conformation cover pages to mail both packages.

I think they have been told they are not allowed to give them out. The easiest thing to do is wait 3-5 days for the petitioner to recieve the hard copy in the mail. Email NVC if you want, but it may take a week to get a response and I believe they will tell you the same - to wait until you get the bill in the mail. They are really cracking down on this. It doesn't take that long - and once you get it you can pay online and everything is speedy.

I just e-mail them and ask for it and they sent it to me

I tried getting the IIN over the phone and wasn't successful, however I got the AOS bill in three days.
