So I filed on the 29th of January, and on Tuesday (the 10th of Feb) I received a notice saying they'd received payment. (For all those interested, after reading so many stories of rejected payments for incorrect amounts, I made sure to specify in the cover letter that enclosed was "Payment of 1010.00 for I-485 and I-765". It might not have made a difference, but eh.) Now today (12th of Feb) I received a notice for my biometrics appointment in Tampa on the 28th of Feb at 11:00 AM.

Just thought I'd post this to keep people updated on how quickly or not the case process seems to be going. While I'm glad it's going quickly and I seem to have filed things correctly so far, I kind of hope our interview gets delayed (or transferred to the CSC) so it doesn't happen in April, when we're supposed to go to Vegas for my sister-in-law's wedding. Originally, I never thought I'd get it in three months, but it looks like there are a lot of people who do. Crossing fingers we don't have to break my sister-in-law's heart and miss the event.

Also, anyone know what the MSC on my receipt number is for? Just curious.

You can use your MSC with the numbers that follow to follow-up on your case on the USCIS site. Just register as a customer and see the progress
